The Peaking Goddess Collective - Organika
Alex Grey - Worldspirit.
Organika is a mainly instrumental world electronic album, very peaceful and beautiful. Worldspirit is actually an hour long speech about spirituality and consciousness by Alex Grey, set to that kind of music. Pretty incredible stuff, especially if you are of the psychedelic mindstate.
And to expand your horizons a little:
Not really world influenced, but Raja Ram's other group 1200 Micrograms is pretty awesome. Psy-trance, heavy on the "psy". Very trippy stuff.
And a fantastic world music influenced album would be Paul Pena and Kongar-Ol Ondar's Genghis Blues soundtrack. Very unique blend of american blues and tuvan throat singing. |
