| My Top 10 Pop-Punk Bands
Here's a list of the best pop-punk bands from the 90s and up. | 1 | Green Day
Green Day deserves to be number one. They are the kings of the punk revival. They
are the most popular punk band ever, for better or worse. They make very catchy
and original songs that a lot of us have heard. Even after they "sold out" with
American idiot, they still make great music. | 2 | Blink-182
Green Day brought the pop-punk movement into the limelight, then Blink 182 took it to the next level with
Dude Ranch and Enema of the State. They make great songs about
adolescence, relationships, personal problems, etc. And they make songs with
humorous lyrics to songs with more serious concepts. | 3 | My Chemical Romance
I love them, they are amazing and always have meaningful lyrics that can actually relate to people, even
they themselves can relate to people. They been through everything and come out stronger every time. | 4 | Fall Out Boy
They are amazing. All of the lyrics sang by the amazing vocalist, Patrick stump, are perfect. All of their
songs have hidden or not so hidden meanings that have really great vibes. | 5 | Sum 41
Not only did sum 41 become noticed alongside bands such as blink-182, green day,
and the offspring with their contribution to pop punk, but they have done many
different styles of punk rock, ranging from pop punk, to melodic hardcore. They have
had their share of serious song topics, to classic relationship pop punk topics. | 6 | All Time Low
All Time Low has amazing lyrics that are so relatable. They honestly changed the way
I perceive music and basically changed my life. I truly love them and will never stop
listening to them. | 7 | Panic! At the Disco
Every song by them has a story behind it and the long song titles are unique and symbolic. I also love the
1920s burlesque theme of their first album "A Fever You Can't Sweat Out". They are just so unique and
fantastic and I will always love them. | 8 | Simple Plan
Happy, sad, angry, emotional... Whatever feeling you have, SP has a song for it. These songs come from the
heart I. E Pierre's heart. You'll never get tired of listening to them. You want to be loud, there's Shut Up.
You're on a beach, there's Summer Paradise. | 9 | Paramore
The one thing that I truly love about Paramore that isn't there in any other band in the world is how they
word their songs, and the beautiful lyrics they use. One single note, one single letter can make you cry or
make you laugh or dance or scream or everything all at once. Once you hear one song, once you actually
LISTEN to the words and the lyrics, you'll be hooked. | 10 | Yellowcard
Yellowcard is one of the most underrated bands out there but are the most innovative when integrating a
violin in the genre making them more unique and original. They've created over eight
albums with so many amazing tracks and Ryan Key creates some of the best and heart wrenching lyrics and
delivers them perfectly for their music genre. | |
