What I'm Listening To Now (vol. 1)
A playlist containing my favorite and most-played songs of the moment. |
1 | Diamanda Galas 8 Men and 4 Women
This song is just sexy beyond all means. I can't stop listening to it. Bluesy as fuck, with an explosive and memorable ending. Both the piano and vocals are wonderful, as always. One of my favorite Galas tracks. |
2 | Hole Reasons to Be Beautiful
Courtney Love at her most glamorous. A heavy track with pop-rock guitar at its best. The lyrics are also pretty nice. |
3 | Bjork All Neon Like
I adore the beat. It's one of the best tracks on "Homogenic". It's just so catchy. |
4 | Hot Hot Heat Middle of Nowhere
I love the melody, and the lyrics are so sassy. Great song, great band. And it's just sort of an uplifting song, melodically. |
5 | Regina Spektor December
Love this song. Regina Spektor always has the most creative lyrics, and her melodies are always refreshingly simple. She has a gorgeous voice on top of it all. |
6 | Rilo Kiley Jenny, You're Barely Alive
Jenny Lewis' vocals are understated, the guitars are clashing, and the idea of the song is a very interesting one indeed. |
7 | Maria Taylor The Ballad of Sean Foley
Upbeat for this bitch. I love her voice and the song in the first place. Just sort of nice and refreshing. |
8 | Rufus Wainwright Foolish Love
I can't get enough of Rufus. He has a beautiful voice; he's brilliant with the piano; his lyrics are complex and have depth. Love this song. Great use of tempo. |
9 | Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds Fifteen Feet of Pure White Snow
Really catchy. And the piano is also surprisingly pretty for a Nick Cave song. |
10 | No Doubt Cellophane Boy
Gwen Stefani's voice has a really nice timbre, and the band accompanies her well. The lyrics of the song are very interesting. |
11 | M.I.A. Sunshowers
Unique vocals, lyrics, beat, and chorus. M.I.A. is the shit, and there's no denying it. |
12 | Lily Allen Littlest Things
Great single. I just can't resist her bitchiness, really is all. |
