Good Records Run 2/22/14

Made a run into Good Records and picked up some sick tunes
1Phantogram
Voices

I knew Phantogram had a new album coming out, so I saw this on vinyl and I knew
I had to get it...So far it may be another classic album in addition to their debut
"Eyelid Moves"
2Beck
Morning Phase

Lately, I have been having quite the obsession with Beck...but that's another story.
I saw this on vinyl as I walked into the store and my heart stopped. Immediately, it
was under my arm for purchase. I haven't had a chance to listen to anything off it
except for Blue Moon, but still - that song itself is incredible. I'm really looking
forward to listening to it.
3Fugazi
13 Songs

My buddy Drew got me into listening Fugazi more, so I kinda bought this on vinyl
because 1.) I love Waiting Room and 2.) I missed listening to Fugazi most of the
time that we would go places (like a gig, or a concert, or whatever...)
4Art Garfunkel
Angel Clare

I saw this in the used vinyl section and I realized that out of the Simon and
Garfunkel duo, I heard most of Paul Simon's music as a solo artist. So when I saw
Art's vinyl sitting there I thought, "I'm gonna give this guy some love." I listened to
Side A, and so far it is a delightful album.
5The Flaming Lips
At War With The Mystics

Now onto CD's; I always knew the Flaming Lips were a very talented group, but I
never gave them a close listen to be honest. I walked into Good records hoping to
find Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots, but I found this album which I also recognized!
Out of this album, I recognized The Yeah Yeah Yeah song and The W.A.N.D. So far,
I am in love with their lyrical composition.
6Beck
Sea Change

Again with my Beck fascination, I picked this up on CD and I wanted it really badly
because this album, to me, reveals how mature Beck has become ever since his top
hit "Loser".
7Broken Bells
After the Disco

As a fan of The Shins, I am also a fan of James Mercer. This was a "must pick up". I
just gave it a listen, and it is very catchy!
