Video Game Nostalgia #5 Part 1 - Mega Man X Series
Whereas many people grew up with the original Mega Man series, I rprimarily grew up with the X series. I started out with the three rPlaystation games (X4, X5, X6) before grabbing the first three games rlater on. The gameplay is platforming bliss; run-and-gun action with rnumerous upgrades like new armors, health and energy subtanks, and rhearts that increase your maximum life. As the games progressed, the rgraphics gradually got better and the stories became a bit more complex. rAs great as the early X games are, I still have to say that my favorite rgame in the series (as well as one of my favorite games of all time) is X5. rTo me, it was the real sendoff for the series (hell, X6 wasn't even rsupposed to exist initially) and happens to be the most emotional game in rthe series, no matter which ending you get. The gameplay's great, the rstory's well-written and well-executed, and despite its relatively short rlength, it's a game you'll want to play over and over again. Then again, ryou say that about any of these games... well, perhaps with the rexception of X6, and definitely excluding X7.

you got it all wrong dude the best one is the first one
The first one's my second favorite, along with X4
then the rest of the series suck. x4 is all around better designed than x3, but its soooooo damm easy.
x5 with its time systems and bazillion of armors is crap. x6 has the worst level design ever, everything is spikes after spikes. And x7 is.. bad. REAL BAD. x8 didn't do anything for me.
For me it's:
I liked the armors of X5, and the time thing didn't bother me too much. I'm not as fond of X2 because of its boss battles, ESPECIALLY the really uninspired Sigma battle. I love X1 though, still an absolute classic. So is 3, although much tougher than X1

The megaman X series is incredible one of my favourites for sure. I think I may like the megaman Zero series more though, it is pretty underrated, such a cool story.
That's my next part of my Mega Man nostalgia series :D Then Part 3 will be Legends and Part 4 will be Battle Network
x2 is really fucking fast, fun, and has a great difficulty curve. The dash-shot glitch might make the game easier, but its great level and boss design, plus the fact that you start the game with the dash ability make the game really fucking fun. And the Sigma battle (or Zero, if you get the bad ending) is really good, wtf? x4 and x5 Sigma is the one that by that point was redundant, duh
