02.05.14 | I think we should have ratings to the hundredths, gotta be specific with the level I love all my 5s |

02.05.14 | write some quality reviews and maybe you can become a contributor and bestowed this amazing power you seek! |
pedro70512
02.05.14 | I think you should be able to rate to the tenth in a review. That way you earn the smaller rating intervals by presenting a validated opinion. |
pedro70512
02.05.14 | ...or, what Funeral wrote while I was typing. That works too, though I think only Staff have that
ability. |

NeroCorleone80
02.05.14 | It would be better to have 3 levels per rating. For example a 4 rating could be high, solid or low, high meaning its close to a 4.5, low meaning its just barely a 4, and solid meaning its a comfortable 4 |
Judio!
02.05.14 | You'll be staff one day, Lettuce. Don't you worry. |
VisionsFromTheDarkSide
02.05.14 | I'm feeling a light to decent 8 on this one |
JokineAugustus
02.05.14 | Example: Liberate Te Ex Inferis is a high 5 |
pedro70512
02.05.14 | Wouldn't giving something a 3.8 qualify as a "low 4"? It does in the charts. |
Snake.
02.05.14 | 'we should be able to rate multiple factors and not jsut generalize the entire album. when has generalizing ever done anything?
rate like this
Out of Genre: 2
In Genre: 4
For its Time: 4
These Days: 2.5
Instrumentally: 3
Vocally/Lyrically: 2
Influence Level: 4.5
Personally: 2.5'

02.05.14 | i don't like the titles they put with the rating like "great" or "classic" classic implies that it holds relevance to more than just yourself, and c'mon... that cant be true for everyones 5's. and since when is 3.5/5 "great" for anything. you get a 3.5/5 on a test and you get a C-. thats not great... thats not great. its all skewed because the lower tier (1-2.5) is hard to differentiate. i hate just about everything in that zone equally |
sapient
02.05.14 | I'm feeling a high 3 to a light 4 on this list |
pedro70512
02.05.14 | nope you're not staff, gotta pick one or the other |

02.05.14 | nah, i have no problem with it tbh. .1 increments should be available for everyone in *reviews* though |

02.05.14 | u werent there bill! |
Lettuce
02.05.14 | I would love .1 intervals. It would help me to categorize for myself. Cause not all 4s are equal, some are 3.8 and some are 4.2. thats a pretty decent gap when its expressed in a percentage like a grade. |

02.05.14 | Yeah, it can be frustrating sometimes. I sometimes add "Personal Ratings" in my soundoffs to give a more precise rating than my official one. Look up my soundoffs for Pearl Jam, Queensryche and Judas Priest. |

02.05.14 |
and i dont think about stuff in 3.8s and 4.2s, i just say "is this good enough to be considered a 4? yes, ok 4/no, ok 3.5 |
pedro70512
02.05.14 | @spooky - or it would just be a list of albums by rating without category headlines, like a
spreadsheet. seems pretty simple.
EDIT: nvm |
Lettuce
02.05.14 | I don't think in .1 but it would be nice to organize by how good each score is. cause there are 4s that are better than other 4s. |
MosesMalone
02.05.14 | Rating is kinda dumb anyway. |
pedro70512
02.05.14 | indeed you can. I actually rather like the improvements Sputnik has made over the last year. |

02.05.14 | ya it's almost 5% as good as rym now rather than only 4% |

02.05.14 | actually the rating system is afwul* |
itsalltherage
02.05.14 | I think the most viable & sensible solution would be to just make ratings out of 10 instead or have .25 intervals to differentiate things a little better. That would be plenty enough for me to be honest.
|
pedro70512
02.05.14 | "it's almost 5% as good as rym now" touche.
.25 wouldn't be so bad. the charts go to two decimals places anyway. |
