11.11.13 | I have a 30 gig 1st-gen Zune, and it's the best mp3 player I've ever had. I don't have any videos or anything, strictly music. I've yet to have a single issue with it. I got mine for $50, though, so it was definitely worth it. I'm sure the later models are more than worth it, at least one of my bandmates loves his. |
Weirman
11.11.13 | Is that your only experience with one? Becuaes I have wayyyy more than 30GB of music, and while i'd like to contain it all on one device like an Apple Classic, I guess it's not totally necessary. |
JustinKing
11.11.13 | I have way more than 30 gigs, too, but I just bought it because it was inexpensive. All I do is constantly switch music out to fit my mood. A few friends have the more recent models with more space, and they've all highly enjoyed theirs. |

11.11.13 | most people on sput prolly have Ipods. And zunes fucking rule, I have had one crap out on me though, my fucking 120 GB one. But the software is awesome and im rich now so i'll prolly buy another one. my 1st gen 30gb has served me well for nearly a decade. |
Stevencore
11.11.13 | The hell is a zune? And why do you guys need 30+ gigs of music? You're never going to use all that
Just get an 8 gig touch derr |

11.11.13 | I had an 80GB Zune that I used for years before the backlight quit on me. I swear by it, too--best MP3 player I've ever used. Thing is...they're no longer supported by Microsoft, so don't expect updates to the software or firmware. That said, totally worth it. |
Midjicka
11.11.13 | I had one of the original lunky Zunes and liked it, but I kept having problems with it. Now I have a 32gb ZuneHD and it's perfect. Haven't really run into any issues with this one. Other than Microsoft no longer supporting it, there isn't a reason to pass up on one if you can get it cheap. |
Weirman
11.11.13 | iight i'm convinced
adding zune (not sure which one yet) to my list of things to get |
sapient
11.11.13 | Had a Zune HD a few years back, it's alright, pretty much no app support when I had it and the extra features in General were kinda blehhhh, but it played music alright. The battery life sucked pretty bad on it though. |
Weirman
11.11.13 | This may be a dumb question, but exactly what program/'s can be used to sync stuff to it? |
Midjicka
11.11.13 | sapient that's really a shame, the battery on my Zune HD lasts a full 8 hours+ at work |
sapient
11.11.13 | Yeah, mine might've been defective, glitched up a lot so I guess that explains it. I use a 32 gb iPod touch now, definitely suits me better, although I wish I could use Audiosurf on that like the Zune did |
FictionalFlames
11.11.13 | My 30gig Zune is pretty much everything I could ask for for an MP3 player, but the battery life sucks.
If you want one, get one used for a reasonable price off of amazon. |
Weirman
11.11.13 | Yeah, it looks like i'm gonna have to do that. Brand new ones are outrageously priced lol |
OneMoreRoland
11.11.13 | I have an 80GB and fucking love it. Also, Zune software is amazing. |
DikkoZinner
11.11.13 | Not sure why microsoft gave up on these, could have battled apple for the MP3 player market for years to come. |
Mike08
11.12.13 | I've only had Ipods. Alot of Ipods: 3rd, 4th, 5th gen nano, a classic, and a 4th gen ipod touch. Out of those, I only recommend the 5th gen nano and 4th gen ipod. Sooooo, Ipod has been hit or miss. Itunes blows except for the actual database. I've heard good things from Zune though. If you could get a 64gb Zune for 150 or so I would give Zune a try. |
Trebor.
11.12.13 | Zunes still exist? |
Spec
11.12.13 | I love my iPod and my iPhone. Sorry |
UnnamedOcean
11.12.13 | I had two, still have one of them. Great device, I just stopped using it because the audio jack is having issues on mine and I have a smartphone with Google Play. |

11.12.13 | " And why do you guys need 30+ gigs of music?"
because I have 180 gigs of music |
Trebor.
11.12.13 | lol why are you even on sputnik if you have less than 30 gigs of music |
Weirman
11.12.13 | "lol why are you even on sputnik if you have less than 30 gigs of music"
Long ago, the 2 bands on my ipod lived with my ears in harmony. Then everything changed when I signed up for sputnik. Only megaupload, master of music downloads could quench my thirst, but when I really needed it most...it vanished.
Aboot a month later I discovered a new file dl's site, by the name of mediafire, and although I had a lot of listening to do, it saved my music player.
But now it's fucking dead too and I buy all my music now on CD but not before listening to it on youtube |
Weirman
11.12.13 | Now answer my question plee, what kind of programs cant be used to syncronize music to this thing? |
Funeralopolis
11.12.13 | I have a random 8gig mp3 by sony and it is pretty much the same thing as my ipod nano was. |
Acanthus
11.12.13 | Yeah Zunes are worth the $60-$80ish used they're going for on Amazon, if you need something small for working out and stuff check the Sanza Clip though. |
Weirman
11.12.13 | They're like 130-200 what amazon are you using acanthus
? |
JustinKing
11.12.13 | @Xeno You can set the Zune software so it doesn't remove the songs from the device if you take them off the computer. |

11.12.13 | I have a 30gig and a 32 gig zune HD. the 30g's battery life ain't the best but both otherwise still work great. Both were great investments, imo. |
bakkermaarten007
11.13.13 | They're better than iPods. Good lucking finding a reasonably priced one though. (since they're discontinued) |

11.13.13 | zunes are the shit man. i've had three throughout the past like 7 years and only one actually broke and it was kind of a freak occurrence and had little to do with any design flaws or anything. Yeah, they're awesome. |

11.13.13 | "i've always liked Zunes (never owned one) but they do seem to break more easily than iPods. "
Where do you get that from? I have friends that go through multiple ipods in a year. You have to treat zunes like garbage to break one. |
