Mature Releases By Meh Bands

Bands that were proficient but didn't blow me away until these respective albums. What bands had an album rthat really impressed you that you would usually brush off beforehand?
1The Duskfall
The Dying Wonders of the World

First two albums were solid melodies death metal. Third album was them trying to commercialize their sound while sticking to their roots, and failed. This album was their last opus and they left one to be remembered. Dark and thick sound with melodic riffs shining through.
2Ghost Brigade
Until Fear No Longer Defines Us

First two albums were standard doom metal that could be compared to Katatonia or Swallow the Sun. Became more than a copycat band when they developed their sound on their third album.
