Sowing's 2013 Nfl Predictions
1Neutral Milk Hotel
In The Aeroplane Over The Sea

NFC East: 1.) Dallas Cowboys 2.) Washington Redskins 3.) New York Giants 4.) Philadelphia Eagles *Notes: The team to watch here is the Giants. Whenever I'm not that high on them, that's when they go on a Cinderella-story Superbowl run.
Public Strain

NFC North: 1.) Green Bay Packers 2.) Detroit Lions 3.) Chicago Bears 4.) Minnesota Vikings *Notes: It's hard to bet against Green Bay in this division, even with their suspect defense and high turnover at WR. The Lions and Bears both have sleeper potential, while the Vikings might be in for a long year if AP can't duplicate his almost record-smashing 2012 campaign.
3Alice In Chains
The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here

NFC South: 1.) Atlanta Falcons 2.) New Orleans Saints 3.) Carolina Panthers 4.) Tampa Bay Buccaneers *Atlanta seems poised for a super season, but they have their fair share of competition in the NFC South. The worst team in the division could be 8-8.
4Brand New

NFC West: 1.) Seattle Seahawks 2.) San Francisco 49ers 3.) St. Louis Rams 4.) Arizona Cardinals *Best division in football? Seattle and San Francisco are clearly in the spotlight, but if you told me that St. Louis or Arizona sneaked away with the '13 western division title, I'd probably just give you a half-knowing nod. No outcome here is too far fetched.
All We Love We Leave Behind

NFC Playoff Picture: 1.) Atlanta Falcons 2.) Seattle Seahawks 3.) Green Bay Packers 4.) Dallas Cowboys 5.) San Francisco 49ers 6.) New Orleans Saints Wildcards: New Orleans over Green Bay, San Francisco over Dallas Divisional: Atlanta over New Orleans, Seattle over San Francisco Conference: Atlanta over Seattle NFC Champion: Atlanta
6The Decemberists
The Crane Wife

AFC East: 1.) New England Patriots 2.) Miami Dolphins 3.) Buffalo Bills 4.) New York Jets *This is a surprisingly difficult division to predict. New England is significantly weaker heading into 2013 than they were going into 2011 or 2012, but they have the luxury of playing against below average divisional opponents. If anyone has a shot to steal the Pats' crown, it's Miami - but I'm not holding my breath on QB Ryan Tannehill making the major strides that would be required of him to overthrow the dark lord Bill Belichick.
Hurry Up, We're Dreaming

AFC North: 1.) Cincinnati Bengals 2.) Baltimore Ravens 3.) Pittsburgh Steelers 4.) Cleveland Browns *Yep, you read that right. This division is no longer dominated by Baltimore and Pittsburgh. I even thought about projecting the Browns as 2nd place.
8Grizzly Bear

AFC South: 1.) Houston Texans 2.) Indianapolis Colts 3.) Tennessee Titans 4.) Jacksonville Jaguars *Watch out for improvement from this divisions' bottom two. I expect a tighter race than last year, perhaps to the tune of 11-5, 9-7, 8-8, 7-9.
Ten Stories

AFC West: 1.) Denver Broncos 2.) Kansas City Chiefs 3.) San Diego Chargers 4.) Oakland Raiders *I see no reason why the Chiefs can't make the playoffs in a particularly suspect AFC conference this year. Denver is the team to beat. The Chargers will hover around .500. The Raiders might contend for the second-ever 0-16 winless season.
10The Shins
Oh, Inverted World

AFC Playoff Picture: 1.) Denver Broncos 2.) Cincinnati Bengals 3.) Houston Texans 4.) New England Patriots 5.) Kansas City Chiefs 6.) Miami Dolphins Wildcards: Houston over Miami, New England over Kansas City Divisions: Cincinnati over Houston, Denver over New England Conference: Denver over Cincinnati AFC Champion: Denver
11The National
High Violet

Superbowl: Denver vs. Atlanta In a rematch of the 1999 Superbowl between these two teams, the Atlanta Falcons reverse fortunes and win this time. Tony Gonzalez and Steven Jackson both get well-deserved rings, and Matt Ryan is catapulted into the upper echelon QB conversation consisting of Brady, Manning, Brees, and Rodgers. Atlanta 31, Denver 24
