07.21.13 | 1 is one of the most beautiful things i've ever heard |
JamieTwort
07.21.13 | 1 - 3 are the best, good list. |
NeroCorleone80
07.21.13 | Yeah 1 is 1 for sure. I'd prob have 5 higher though I really like that track. |
Artuma
07.21.13 | yeah 5 is awesome but it unfortunately gets overshadowed by A Fair Judgement and the title track on Deliverance |
thumbcrusher
07.21.13 | epilogue is king |
Paracletus96
07.21.13 | Never liked Silhouette |
Artuma
07.21.13 | Silhouette is superb, i really like Requiem too |
NeroCorleone80
07.21.13 | Only bad thing about Silhouette is that it feels a little out of place on the album |
Artuma
07.21.13 | i somewhat agree but it's still amazing |
Arnaud
07.21.13 | Silhouette out of place on the album? Man I couldn't disagree more! It gives such an amazing atmosphere and it makes me look differently at the rest of the songs on Orchid. Tied at #1 with Epilogue |
Mongi123
08.21.13 | Is that the only instrumental on Blackwater Park? |
NeroCorleone80
08.21.13 | Yes |
Mongi123
08.21.13 | Ok. I kinda wanna try BP cause of how acclaimed it is on this site. I tried it once but turned it off
cause death growls just aren't my thing. Recommend I try again? |
climactic
08.21.13 | duh its the best |
DominionMM1
08.21.13 | 1 is 1 |
MO
08.21.13 | Lol bwp is acclaimed everywhere not just this site.
definitely epilogue is best instrumental |
DominionMM1
08.21.13 | kinda reminds me of floyd for some reason |
Mongi123
08.21.13 | Oh yea I know, it's acclaimed everywhere I just mentioned this site haha. Just skipped around on the first song and I really wanna like it cause the music is amazing. But death metal vox just aren't my thing. |
NeroCorleone80
08.21.13 | They'll grow on you, and Mikael's growls are some of the most accessible you'll hear. |
MO
08.21.13 | Opeth is tje band that allowed me to slowly appreciate death vox more and more. Now I actually have the ability to distinguish good from bad. trust me its worth it |
CK
08.21.13 | Madrigal gets me every time |
Mongi123
08.21.13 | Possibly. After hearing the music though I respect the hell out of them. I'll stick with Damnation for the time being. |
JamieTwort
08.21.13 | Do you like Heritage, Mongi? |
Mongi123
08.21.13 | Nowhere near as much as Damnation but it was good. |
JamieTwort
08.21.13 | Heritage >>> Damnation for me. |
FerinusCarnifexVox
08.21.13 | Vocals are very accessible and it helps the music is more instrumentally oriented. |
FerinusCarnifexVox
08.21.13 | Heritage is better than Damanation, but it has its share of classics. |
Mongi123
08.21.13 | There was something about Heritage that was a little more "boring" than Damnation. It just had the emotional punch that Heritage didn't for me. Gotta try Heritage again now. |
FerinusCarnifexVox
08.21.13 | Damanation was more haunting. It was heavy in a way Opeth normally reserved for the distorted sections. |
Mongi123
08.21.13 | Maybe that was it. It does have a haunting atmosphere. I haven't heard Heritage in a while so maybe a second listen will be better. |
FerinusCarnifexVox
08.21.13 | Now that I think about it when I was listening to Pandora station for Opeth they played 3 off Damanation and they had a bigger impact on me then when I originally for the album. Heritage takes a few listens, but Damanation might be better. |
Epilogue
08.21.13 | hey hey ho ho |
FerinusCarnifexVox
08.21.13 | I assume you think 1 is 1? |
InbredJed
08.21.13 | Patterns In The Ivy one of my favourite pieces of music, ever. |
VisionsFromTheDarkSide
08.21.13 | 5 is 1 for me but yeah cool lisgt |
