05.28.13 | i'm pretty sure it won't help. band is so horrible, not the absolute worst though |
DegausserGuernica24
05.28.13 | But seriously, Nickelback are overrated when it comes to being hated in terms of mainstream rock. Hinder, Daughtry, and The Script are FAR worse. |
NeroCorleone80
05.28.13 | Take down this list |

05.28.13 | Don't get me wrong, Nickelback are still pretty awful, but they're not the worst band of all time. |

05.29.13 | Guys chill. There's far worse than Nickelback. |
mandan
05.29.13 | tired of livin' like a blind man
I'm sick and tired of my sense of feeling |
scorpiusx
05.29.13 | Nickelback are a fun joking point, but I'll agree that there is far worse. At least some of their stuff is fun to sing along to if it happens to come on the radio, ("How You Remind Me", "Rockstar", "If Everyone Cared", etc.) I'd listen to any of these before I'd listen to LMFAO or similar ilk. |
Cygnatti
05.29.13 | Script > nickelback
That's not saying much though. |
Cygnatti
05.29.13 | Solid 1.5/5 band. Agreed. |

Cygnatti
05.29.13 | Easily. Again, not saying much but yeah. |
InbredJed
05.29.13 | the trouble with nickelback isn't that they don't deliver catchy songs regularly enough, or don't have good tones and a decent riff now and then.
The trouble is that they know EXACTLY what they are doing. They could write much more technical, honest, inspiring bad-ass material, but their existence is predicated purely upon selling out as hard as possible.
A band that does that deserves less than no respect. |

05.29.13 | Plus the fact that "Something In Your Mouth" is one of the biggest black holes of songwriting I've ever heard. That's totally a good reason to dislike them. ^ |
Hurricanslash
05.29.13 | @ InbredJed: I can actually look past that. I don't know how I managed that, but I can, although I agree on every single point of yours.
@scorpius: Jesus christ, if I ever have to hear that song again, I will probably do nothing, but it will still piss me off!
@Epicenter: And I salute you, too, dear sir. Can't we just all hate on Hinder and stuff? |
InbredJed
05.29.13 | Nickelback is simply the KISS of the 21st century |
Epicenter
05.30.13 | Of course we can! |

05.30.13 | fuck no
KISS is still the KISS of the 21st century |

05.30.13 | "Nickelback is simply the KISS of the 21st century"
no, black veil brides are the KISS of the 21st century.
|
Azn.
05.30.13 | unfortunately, guys, KISS is still alive and well
and making music.
sigh |
Cygnatti
05.30.13 | *bad music
as they always have. |
Azn.
05.30.13 | I WANNA COCK |
InbredJed
05.30.13 | "no, black veil brides are the KISS of the 21st century."
until the 80's KISS used to make good music and still have potential to make good music but they care too much about making
$$$ which is why they are an apt comparison to Nickelback.
BVB I did not consider a good comparison because they have never made good music.

07.07.13 | "The trouble is that they know EXACTLY what they are doing. They could write much more technical, honest, inspiring bad-ass material, but their existence is predicated purely upon selling out as hard as possible."
I don't see why that's problematic. They don't see themselves as 'contributing to the art that is music'. They're selling entertainment, and by the looks of it, they're pretty damn good. There's wrong with summer blockbusters and popcorn flicks. Why should there be anything wrong with professionally constructed and executed pop-rock? |
SitarHero
07.07.13 | *There's nothing wrong with summer blockbusters and popcorn flicks |
