At least some of their stuff is fun to sing along to if it happens to come on the radio, ("How You Remind Me", "Rockstar", "If Everyone Cared", etc.) I'd listen to any of these before I'd listen to LMFAO or similar ilk.

InbredJed 05.29.13	the trouble with nickelback isn't that they don't deliver catchy songs regularly enough, or don't have good tones and a decent riff now and then. The trouble is that they know EXACTLY what they are doing. They could write much more technical, honest, inspiring bad-ass material, but their existence is predicated purely upon selling out as hard as possible. A band that does that deserves less than no respect.

They don't see themselves as 'contributing to the art that is music'. They're selling entertainment, and by the looks of it, they're pretty damn good. There's wrong with summer blockbusters and popcorn flicks. Why should there be anything wrong with professionally constructed and executed pop-rock?
