05.23.13 | My favorite is Ghost Reveries. It just took all of my favorite elements from their music and culminated into one album. Absolute perfection. |

05.23.13 | Still Life. their most consistent album, every song is just brilliantly written and it is purely what Opeth can do best: proggy song structures, Mikael's growls, perfectly timed mellow parts and DEM RIFFS |

05.23.13 | My Arms, Your Hearse cos it's the best in pretty much every way in my opinion: The songwriting, Mikael's growls, the atmosphere, the production (fairly raw for Opeth but it fits the music perfectly), the balance and transitions between the heavy sections and the acoustic parts. |

05.23.13 | MAYH is the best in my opinion, but as an album that is close to me, it has to be Still Life - it was the album that got me hooked on Opeth. |

05.23.13 | Still Life is their best in my opinion. The songs are diverse and beautiful throughout. Ghost Reveries is my second favorite of theirs, it's very well close to being my favorite. Blackwater Park is my third favorite: while this album is amazing and majestic in its own way, the album can drag a tad after a bit. Still a solid 4.5, and Bleak and the title track are two of the band's best songs |

05.23.13 | MAYH because it's the perfect mix of dm and acoustic and has an atmosphere that they will never achieve again. also it has some of their most badass songs |

05.23.13 | MAYH is their best simply for atmosphere. It also flows very well and Mikael's vocals still have some of the black metal influence in them. |

05.23.13 | Hellyeah. This is a really hard question for me to answer because I really love Opeth in each stage of their evolution. Their first several albums are amazing of course and then Still Life and Blackwater Park I feel is where they really found their sound. Then going down the list there's Damnation which some people really hate simply because it wasn't heavy, but it had this sophistication to it that brought a completely new dimension to the band, and I love it for that. GR was great, and then Watershed and now Heritage are a lot like Damnation in an experimental kind of way. Opeth from creation to now are amazing and I'm very surprised this list hasn't brought the hate comments from the queers that hate Opeth just because Watershed and Heritage weren't heavy enough for them. Thanks everyone, keep the comments about the music! :)
