05.04.13 | I like the exotic sounds a few of these albums provide, so I suppose that can factor into it! Gold Panda in particular does this well |

05.05.13 | Update: the Caribou album was pretty damn solid, especially its middle section. I really dig its experimentation, but got bored with the more loungey tracks.
I heard one song by The Field and it was stellar! Not sure if I could handle an album of it, though. |
Aids
05.05.13 | "heard a lot of buzz about Autechre, what style is/are they/him? Haha."
mainly IDM/techno sort of stuff, they get all glitchy and weird sometimes. it's two guys from Manchester by the way.
"Caribou is meh"
I used to agree, then it "clicked"
"I heard one song by The Field and it was stellar! Not sure if I could handle an album of it, though."
that one I rec'd is really repetitive, as the name suggests. it's probably not the best for active listening, but I love using it for sleep or reading, that sort of stuff. it's really entrancing, but it seems really simple at first. |
klap
05.05.13 | no but seriously Simian Mobile Disco - Delicacies. definition of weird |

As far as a rec goes from me apart from some of the classics already mentioned here.
