Is that so bad? I mean, it's better than every other new boring american animation show. there's a reason why animation began began opting for humorous quirkiness over story/character/etc. it's because animation was dying.

I'm pretty sure that Cartoon Network has, for years and years, always had at least one good show at any given time, without opting for the Jap angle.
