- Here is the link, I strongly recommend the reading. It made me appreciate the Shining alot more. (He is not accurate on all accounts, but he provides insight into the 2nd narrative. Also if you liked the read, he did a review on 2001 as well. P.S. I loved 2001, so don't think I'm bashing the film.

03.29.13 | 2001 and clockwork orange should be a bit higher i think. |

03.29.13 | Full metal jacket is my favorite of his.
Clockwork Orange is such a better book than movie, something many people sadly fail to realize. |

03.29.13 | Eyes Wide Shut is good, it's just paced too slow which was done to create a dream like atmosphere, the only problem being that it creates a lot of false tension. |

03.29.13 | 8 should be higher. 2 is probably my favorite movie, if a movie has me thinking about its final scene after 20 viewings than it's definitely up there |

03.29.13 | if you think eyes wide shut is his worst you should stop watching movies |

03.29.13 | It's hard to talk about a "worst" Kubrick film, seeing as how brilliant they all are. Eyes Wide Shut is still an excellent movie, but when forced to rank them, one finds oneself tending to put other titles first. Hard to explain ;) |

03.29.13 | The Shining was kind of overated. The "acting" by Shelly Duvall brought chunks of leftover meals back to my mouth. |
Mike08
03.29.13 | The acting by Shelly Duvall is exactly how Kubrick wanted her. Scatman Crothers and Duvall got a very difficult time on the set because Kubrick kept making them take the shot over and over until he got it perfect. As far as Duvall goes; naive ditsy, childish, ignorant, foolish.... These adjectives fit perfectly into both narratives. |

03.29.13 | Yeah the scene with Wendy swinging the bat at Jack took 127 takes. |

03.29.13 | I love Clockwork as a book but hate the movie. Good job. |

03.29.13 | I'd say that's bad directing on his behalf. The movie is good, don't get me wrong, but not the masterpiece people claim it is. I adore Full Metal Jacket though. |
