| Albums I Wish I Was More Into
These albums were great in all respects but for one reason or another I just get into. | 1 | | Sharks No Gods
The summer prior to its release, I was all about Sharks, and when I first listened to No Gods, I was really digging it, but it quickly lost appeal. | 2 | | Gallows Death Is Birth
As much shit was given Gallows after Frank Carter's departure, it was a forseeable thing, he's been talking about quitting for two years prior. I thought the addition of Wade was interesting but rad nonetheless. I like True Colours a lot when it was released and I saw them live and thought that Wade filled nicely into Frank's shoes, but for some reason I just never ventured past one listen of this EP. | 3 | | The Gaslight Anthem Handwritten
I am a HUGE Gaslight Anthem fan, their previous albums are some of my favorites and Handwritten has one of my songs they've written on it (National Anthem), but despite a few killer songs I felt like their was a lot of fillers on this album. | 4 | | Every Time I Die New Junk Aesthetic
I love Every Time I Die. Although I expect getting shit for saying this, The Big Dirty is my favorite release from them. I don't want to say that NJA was a letdown, far from it, but comparatively, this album didn't hold up to its predecessors. | 5 | | Maylene and the Sons of Disaster II
Before Maylene decided to turn into glam butt rock, they were getting relatively big, and I was into it. I bought this album pretty swiftly, as in me going into a record store and making a B Line for Metal-M. But I just felt like the album was trying too hard to be overly southern. | 6 | | Anthony Green Avalon
Love Circa Survive and Anthony Green, but this album was a bit boring I thought. | 7 | | Make Do and Mend Everything You Ever Loved
I wanted to like this album, but it felt like a callback to the 90s in all of the worst ways. | 8 | | Polar Bear Club Clash Battle Guilt Pride
Pawner was a killer opener. And the entire album is good, but I just couldn't listen to it in full more than maybe twice. | 9 | | Transit Listen and Forgive
I've Never Told That To Anyone is one of my favorite songs ever written. Needless to say, I was really stoked on the release of this album, but I soon got bored with the hype and listened to it well after its release and was into it, but not as much as I was hoping for. | 10 | | Handguns Angst
Handguns are a great band, all of their EPs have been great and Angst was an awesome album. And then there was Early Retirement... | |
