2012 Shows

I'm bored here's the shows I saw this year
1The Menzingers
Chamberlain Waits

+ local bands; great show despite a crowd of about 10 people
2Frank Turner
Love, Ire & Song

saw him open for DKM, he was amazing
3Titus Andronicus
The Monitor

Festival, highlights were Titus Andronicus/OFF!/Full of Hell/The Men/And So I Watch You From Afar/All Pigs Must Die
4Bomb the Music Industry!
Scrambles

+ local bands; definitely a fun show
5At the Drive-In
Relationship of Command

+ Zechs Marquise; still can't believe this show happened
6The Hold Steady
Boys and Girls in America

great show, Craig is entertaining
7Laura Stevenson and the Cans
Sit Resist

+ Chelsea Wolfe, Laura was incredible, Chelsea was boring and pretentious
8Touche Amore
Parting the Sea Between Brightness and Me

last minute show, pretty fun
9Timeshares
Bearable

Timeshares/Rubrics/Burning Bridges + local bands; really fun little punk show
10Streetlight Manifesto
Everything Goes Numb

Vans Warped Tour; highlights were Streetlight Manifesto/The Ghost Inside/Every Time I Die/I Am the Avalanche/Polar Bear Club
11And So I Watch You From Afar
Gangs

greatest live band ever? + Zechs Marquise
12Black Wine
Hollow Earth

Black Wine/Brick Mower/Signals Midwest/Occult Detective Club; awesome punk show, all these bands are great
13Descendents
Milo Goes to College

Riotfest; highlights were Big Fiction/Less than Jake/Power Trip/Off With Their Heads/The Gaslight Anthem/Teenage Bottlerocket/NOFX/THE DESCENDENTS. Oh, and I got to meet Mikey Erg. He was really nice.
14Florence and the Machine
Ceremonials

she's got a great voice, also less pretentious than I thought she would be
15Joyce Manor
Joyce Manor

Joyce Manor/Hop Along/Hate Your Friends; this is where I fell in love with Hop Along, and Joyce Manor has tons of energy live
16Converge
Jane Doe

Converge/Torche/Kvelertak/Enabler; Enabler was ok, Kvelertak slayed, Torche was kinda boring, and Converge put on an amazing 22 song set
17X
Los Angeles

+ Dum Dum Girls; X was great despite old age
18The Mountain Goats
The Sunset Tree

incredible, despite the set lacking anything from the Coroner's Gambit
19Bomb the Music Industry!
Goodbye Cool World

+ local bands; the last time I will ever see BtMI! was a very emotional experience. They played a good setlist, including King of Minneapolis Parts I-IV. I thanked Jeff for everything he's done and bought this album on vinyl. It was a very bittersweet experience.
20Adolescents
Adolescents

+ Youth Brigade; really fun show, they're old but still awesome
