Richard Harrow tells Nucky that "Jimmy was soldier fighting a war, and he lost." Meaning that even though his best friend was murdered, that's the nature of war. So he's relatively okay with Nucky. Also, they both hate Gillian, so it could fall under the "enemy of my enemy is my friend" kind of thing. |

- She was okay season 1, even though she was a little stuck-up. In season 2 they made her look like a demented person, and in this season she's a complete bitch. I really don't find her that interesting. I understand that she's been warped by her early life as a prostitute, and combined with her "need" for protection, led her to have sex with Jimmy, but I just dont like her attitude. She's very pretentious. |

I just felt like that was the main build up of the season, to see Nucky kill Gyp. I was disappointed that it didnt turn out that way, but hey, that's just my opinion.
Anyway yeah, goddamn Richard fucking massacred everything in sight. Definitely a highlight of the series. I also hope that girl stays with him, he deserves that more than anyone. |

I honestly thought that during the scene where Gyp's taking a piss in front of the beach after making fun of Nucky, the shot was going to show Nucky standing right behind him with a whole group of henchmen and then he was going to get a satisfying the revenge. But I think the reason Nucky had someone else do it also ties with his new philosophy of being a "behind-the-scenes" leader. Sense right afterwards he talks about being more "anonymous". |

is nothing without his connections, but that's always been a theme within the show. There was a quote earlier in the season
about how no one ever takes power, someone has to give it to them. Nucky has no "real" power, he's just a guy with a long list
of names and uses his cunning to get him out of shit. I kind of like that about him because he's often shown to be this all-
mighty figure in the show, but in the end all he really has is his wits to defend him. |
