11.23.12 | Excellent list, mate. I've only heard a little more than half of these albums myself. This will probably be featured.
"I like the american spell of 'favortie' more tbh."
- It's amazing how we invented the language, yet most of the world prefers and uses the American dialect and grammar. |
Keyblade
11.23.12 | this is a sweet list |
ReturnToRock
11.23.12 | 'favortie' is not a word though Paper.
And I - as a non-native speaker - much prefer British English. The swearing and slang are so much more creative! I would ditch this dumb Ameropean accent of mine if I could, and get a proper British one. Preferably a posh. But oh well. |
demigod93
11.23.12 | please add Ulver's Bergtatt to this list that is ultimate
but yeah sweet list for sure |
SgtPepper
11.23.12 | I spell it as a "favourite", because that's how we learned it in England. But when I moved to the states I noticed Americans spell it as "favorite". Same with the word "colour" they take the "u" away.
Where are you from ReturnToRock, if I may ask? |
ReturnToRock
11.23.12 | I'm Portuguese originally. You wouldn't know it if we spoke, though - I sound American (although I've also heard I sound French, Russian - !!! - and Polish - !?!?!?) |
ReturnToRock
11.23.12 | And I was obviously making a pun about the mis-spelling/typo. I hate when websites or word processors try to 'correct' my British spellings, and I LOL when Americans say I make typos because I spell things with extra 'u's or '-mme's. |
Aids
11.23.12 | french russian and polish are probably my three biggest language turn ons
if you were a girl and also took this site less seriously i would probably fuck you |

Are you currently living in Portugal? I had a neighbor whose family was from Portugal. I've never been, but it looks like a
gorgeous country from the pictures they took. My mother's side of the family is from Spain, so I speak spanish fluently. Those
are the only two languages I know. |
ReturnToRock
11.23.12 | No, I'm living in Hampshire, UK. Thank God I'm not in Portugal, though - country is going down the shitter big time. There's demonstrations going on and we're on monetary life support and sucking up to Germany. Everyone is finding the nearest exit and abandoning ship.
It's a pretty country I suppose, but we don't have much to offer other than nice beaches and woodland areas. *Shrugs* I'm from Lisbon, which is the capital city, so yeah...nothing exciting.
Whereabouts in the UK are you mate?
@Aids: I don't speak Russian or Polish. I do speak French (with a rusty accent). I just heard that I SOUND Russian/Polish when speaking English, which is complete bollocks imho. |

I lived in both East Sussex and Essex in the southern part of England, but I moved to the United States and have been living here
throughout my teens. How are you liking England? |
SgtPepper
11.23.12 | @RTR
Spain is in the same situation as well from what my relatives tell me, there's a lot of unemployment. The United States is also going through some economic down time as well. |
MeatSalad
11.23.12 | Good list |
ReturnToRock
11.23.12 | LOL Essex, are you orange and completely fake/plastic? XD
England's all right, it has good bits (cheap media/books/food, girls who are actually approachable and think I'm semi-hot to boot) and bad bits (weather, weather, weather). It's my first time away from home and, two years later, I'm pretty self-sufficient. Also I got used to the weather somewhat, but still find some of the cultural differences jarring (like how they butcher tea by putting milk in it, or how they think pineapple in pizza is disgusting, or how their main goal on a Saturday night is not to dance and have fun, but to meet a partner). Overall, it's all good.
And yeah, Spain's the same, except we're worse. We're almost as bad as Greece at this point. |
SgtPepper
11.23.12 | @RTR
No. I'm not a chav lol. My family is from Brentwood which is the nicer part of Essex. But glad to see you're settled well in England. |
ReturnToRock
11.23.12 | I thought everyone in Essex was orange/a chav? O_O |
SgtPepper
11.23.12 | There's a few less than appealing parts in Essex, but there's also upper class places as well. Brentwood was a nice place. I rather liked it, but I lived in Sussex for a longer time. |
