10.22.12 | Ghosts by NIN really helps me study. For some reason last week Zao helped me bust out a ten page paper in a couple hours |

10.22.12 | Post Metal really does it for me actually, lots of heavy noise to block out stupid thoughts so i can focus |
KjSwantko
10.22.12 | Instrumental albums; most specifically guitar-focused albums. There's Hope by Marco Sfogli is a favorite. |
Trebor.
10.22.12 | It does fer me cuz I can't concentrate without some sweet tunes |
TRMshadow
10.22.12 | Instrumental stuff I'm already familiar with works well for me. Even if the music is simple or instrumental, I can't concentrate if it's new stuff that I plan on rating later. |
Ethics
10.22.12 | can't concentrate while doing work with music, focus way too much on the music itself
plus i always try to add some sort of variation on repeated albums in my mind so yeah that kind of throws me off |
toxin.
10.22.12 | I remember reading a Cracked article (with a link to a study) that showed that listening to all forms of music increases concentration and happiness. There were certain kinds (Jazz?) that did so more, but yeah.
Personally I love listening to some instrumental piano, preferably some New Age like Ludovico Einaudi and Yann Tiersen. But I'll also listen to a lot of indie rock/ folk or even outright Alternative if I'm in the mood. |

10.22.12 | Listen to post rock. |
LegendofPittman
10.22.12 | I actually do use Classical to study, but very basic Classical, anything Romantic or Modern and I start to focus too much on the music. |
Pigwise41
10.22.12 | Instrumentals are supposed to be the only truly helpful type of music to listen to while studying/working and it seems there's a trending correlation here already. Sweet! |
Satellite
10.22.12 | i envy people who can listen to music while studying |
Pigwise41
10.22.12 | Not dismissing that there's any music that might hinder it though, obviously a lot of variables to be considered. |
bach
10.22.12 | I usually like to study to ambient/chill music. |
ShadowAmI
10.22.12 | the best is ambient beats. like autechre, aphex twin, and boards of canada. |
bach
10.22.12 | @shadow
Benn Jordan/Flashbulb and what you said. |
XingKing
10.22.12 | To those of you who can't listen to music while studying, can you listen to it while you sleep? |
Sirob
10.22.12 | Nujabes/Uyama Hiroto and other jazz/jazz-hop |
deathofasalesman
10.22.12 | Instrumental music, especially stuff that's easy NOT to concentrate on. So instr hip-hop wouldn't be good unless the beats are really generic and uninteresting. |
Satellite
10.22.12 | you pitchfork rejects are pathetic |
Sirob
10.22.12 | i mean i guess for you but it works perfectly for me. nujabes' beats arent exactly generic either. |

10.22.12 | Bleed or I |
deathofasalesman
10.22.12 | Like I can't listen to J Dilla for shit. His beats are compelling as fudge but I can study to bleak ambient tunes for hours. |
bloc
10.22.12 | I don't think any music "enhances" learning and concentration, personally. |
