Personally, I recommend buying land and then living on a camper on the plot of land until you build a smallish home. Way cheaper than apartment living in the end (especially if you build a home, 400 sq. ft., for under 50 grand).
It depends though. I've built barns, so I know I could build myself a house. It really depends on the person, how willing they are to learn, and what they're up for.
I just know that a few of my friends are going bust or living in squalor due to trying to pay rent. I think taking it slow and simple is a safer approach. But I'm more frugal that way. |
