SeaAnemone 09.25.12	opening up a club or bar is probably very hit or miss... it'd almost definitely be successful in a college area at first, but there's a ton of factors that I can foresee making it very difficult to do a long-term thing (i.e. in the bars I go to that my schools go to there's a ton of corruption, paying off the police and shit, they have to deal with raids every once in a while and often get shut down for a few weeks, etc.) how about a late-night pizza place in the area that there's already many bars and clubs? drunk pizza places are such a valuable asset and they rake in money, here
Slobo 09.25.12	As a college student I've noticed there's a severe lack of restaurants, clubs, bars etc. I'm very excited at the prospect of more restaurants, clubs, bars etc being opened to fill the gap in the market and provide me with all my restaurants, clubs, bars etc needs
AtomicWaste 09.25.12	A door. Also, while bars are great, I nearly guarantee you if you open an 18+ club and maintain it well, you'll have a crap ton of business. There's one like that near the local college I worked at for a while and I'd always hear about everyone going there constantly. There's not a whole lot of 'em and it makes 18 year olds feel like they're special.
intotheshit 09.25.12	I'm not opening up anything but a magazine that's going to be put in student unions. It's going to consist of local businesses around the schools. We're starting small down here in Florida with FAU and Miami, but we want to expand in a couple of months.

Eclecticist 09.25.12	Neat idea. Students like innovative clothing designs that represent them and their Alma Mater; consider for example Yale's 'Gant' clothing line. Students appreciate services that suit their needs and are convenient. On-campus garages, tailors, hair-stylists, etc. Again, kind of like a unique clothing line students also appreciate unique products that represent them and their school. For example, creating a micro-brewery that serves craft beers through a pub or bar on your campus would be a good idea. Say, if you were to name each craft beer after something that has to do with your school. Finally, one last idea that I have off the top of my head is creating a service that serves the academic needs of students. For instance, at my school we have a book store that competes with our campus bookstore which greatly drives down the cost of buying some textbooks because they are a privately owned business. Also, schools like York University have Research and Statistics clinics in which you can pay someone to help you with your dissertation or thesis.

I've never been to college, so I want to hear what students would love to know about(besides pizza, drugs, and hookers. we know you guys love them). Sorry Brandon. Completely forgot. It's been a helluva past week or two.

JWT155 09.25.12	Pit, definitely cover what bands, comedians,, celebrities will be in the area and when. Lots of people come to perform/talk at penn state but there's really no efficient way to inform people ahead of time at one place. Get in contact with all the local comedy clubs, music venues, bars who have porn stars/celebs show up and just have like a weekly or monthly bit on who/what to expect in town.
