| Top Albums Of 1977 |
| 10 | | Fleetwood Mac Rumours |
| 9 | | Sun Ra Unity |
| 8 | | Tom Waits Foreign Affairs |
| 7 | | Parliament Funkentelechy Vs. The Placebo Syndrome |
| 6 | | David Bowie Heroes
This is another one of those albums I've always thought 'I should like this more'. I think it's because pairing it against some of his other work maybe diminishes it some. Either way, this is fantastic. |
| 5 | | Allan Holdsworth Velvet Darkness
Not a fan of shred, but then again this isn't really straight up shred either. Holdsworth is an amazing player. |
| 4 | | Kansas Point of Know Return
Might be my favourite Kansas album. Or maybe it's Leftoverture, I think the two bounce back and forth. Either way, very strong album. |
| 3 | | Weather Report Heavy Weather
Fusion at it's best, this is the only other Weather Report album I have. Pastorius stands out, but everyone on this album is unbelievable. |
| 2 | | Rush A Farewell to Kings
Rush's best album features their biggest hit 'Closer to the Heart', but this song is overshadowed by such gems as the title track, 'Xanadu', and 'Cinderella Man'. |
| 1 | | Pink Floyd Animals
Hands down Pink Floyd's best album, and possibly the best prog album ever released. Dogs is in my top 5 favourite songs of all time. The climax of that song is incredible. I'm not even a big fan of Sheep, but Dogs and Pigs are mindblowing. |
