My only complaint is...where's Justin Chancellor?! Tool has some of the best bass I've ever heard! If you haven't heard any I highly recommend them, as Justin is my personal favorite bassist. |

I see. Well it's not everyone's cup of tea...mostly due to the long songs I suppose...I find Tool to be a band with a band with variety. A matter of opinion though.
What I will say is that you can't deny the talent of the band, even though it's not your favorite music. Danny Carey is one of the best drummers out there today...Maynard is a great vocalist...and as I saidm Justin Chancellor is one of the best modern bassists....in my opinion I suppose. I just think anyone who plays bass should be able to appreciate the talent he has, even if his music isn't their favorite. |

11.03.07 | i 100% agree about carey.. maynard is good at best.. the only reason i tolerate chancellor in general is cuz he makes a tight rhythm section.. i just don't like a ton of his stuff cuz whenever i thnk about tool all i hear is schism over and over in my head and it makes me want to get a platypus to kill someone...
also, i do play bass (mostly 5 string).. i realize they're talented, as they're very fuckin popular... i just don't really feel anything when i hear their music.. i dunno.. it's not even a 'everyone loves tool so i'll say i hate them' kind of thing.. i just don't like their music.. |
