I've never been the biggest fan of this whole "deep yet heavy dubstep" renaissance, guys like Distance and Kryptic Minds perfected it years ago, and this new breed (while talented producers) are essentially just following the blueprint to a tee. Black Box (one of the chief labels behind this new school mentality) are a solid label though, and the new Transmissions comp (DJ Madd curated the first one) is a solid pairing from the best of their output over the last year or so.
