| My Warped Tour Experience
So I went to Warped yesterday, in Bonner Springs, Kansas. I live in Nebraska btw. It was cloudy most the whole day and never got hotter than 90 degrees, however I still have a sunburn on my neck and face haha. But I saw these 16 bands | 1 | | After the Burial In Dreams
They mostly played stuff from Rareform, but it was crazy awesome. They closed with Aspiration and it was just great. For some odd reason they played on if the smaller stages and not many people were watching so I was up close. My favorite performance. Also, I got a shirt of theirs but can't find a link. | 2 | | Streetlight Manifesto Somewhere in the Between
Saw these dudes for the first time, and really the first time I ever really heard them. They killed it. They didn't have much of a crowd, even though they were mainstage. Also, they were the only act that I saw that got people dancing, aside from Polar Bear Club. | 3 | | Polar Bear Club Clash Battle Guilt Pride
I went with 3 friends, and around 5 it think we all split up. My friend and his girl went to see Sleeping With Sirens and my other friend went to see Taking Back Sunday, he had told me that this band was awesome and that I should check them out, so I decided to watch their set. Crap man, they fucking ruled. Great energy, sincerely sweet guys and great performers. Not many watching their set either so I was right up at the front, bobbing my head the whole time. It was awesome and can tell I'll be loving these guys in no time. | 4 | | Every Time I Die New Junk Aesthetic
Yeah, they were just super solid live. Keith was awesome and Andy and Jordan were slayin on the guitars. Wanderlust was perfect live. Only thing that was bad about this was Jordans gay ass haircut lmfao. But I also got a sweet ETID shirt. | 5 | | Pierce the Veil Collide With the Sky
Just recently getting into these guys but they rule awesome. They too were a mainstage act and rightfully so. They were flawless live. Vic sounded just like he did on record. And when they played their new song, King for a Day, they brought Kellin Quinn on stage to do his part since he the guest vox on it. He was great too, surprisingly enough. | 6 | | Of Mice & Men The Flood
This was more awesome than I expected. As a huge fan of The Flood I was pumped. And even though I was skeptic of them live since Shayley is gone, they still did extremely well, and Shay's fill in was spot on and did great. And omg they were stupidly loud. I left OMAM's set early to see AtB and shit even though the two stages were on opposite corners, I could still OMAM until I was right in front of AtB. But yeah this was just stupid fun. | 7 | | Blessthefall Awakening
So this was actually surprisingly fun as well. Im not a fan of this band, nor do I have any of their records, but this was just fun. They sounded really good. Everything was audible and clear, the screamer sounded better live than on record and they just put on a solid set. | 8 | | Mayday Parade A Lesson in Romantics
My friends girl went fucking nuts when these guys came on haha, but they were awesome. Still just not the same without Jason, but it was still good. And they too sounded awesome. | 9 | | Rise Against The Sufferer and the Witness
This was the last set we watched before we left. And the last or 2nd to last band to play. It was a treat to see them because they were only playing at 4 Warped Tour dates so it was fucking great. They kicked major ass and had the biggest crowd, minus Miss May I, which is gay but whatever. But still, it was a great set and even though it was the end of the day, they still had everyone pumped up. | 10 | | Sleeping With Sirens With Ears to See and Eyes to Hear
So I did catch the first 10 minutes of this before Polar Bear Club Went on, and it was surprisingly ok. Kellin sounded nice and it was enjoyable. | 11 | | Memphis May Fire The Hollow
Yeah, this was right before Rise Against. And my gosh this set was damn fucking fun. The chorus' were great to sing along to and Matty sounded fantastic, and before I was skeptical whether he would be good live or not. My only problem was the kick drums were way too loud and nearly drowned out everything but Matty. And this set seemed really really short but it was great. | 12 | | Falling in Reverse The Drug In Me Is You
So the first 11 covered the good, not the bad. yeah this was just gay and not fun. | 13 | | Miss May I At Heart
Was okay at best, but the singer sucked really hard and it sounded bad as a whole. Also during their last song their sound kept cutting in and out hahah. | 14 | | I Fight Dragons KABOOM!
This was really annoying and was drowning out the sound of MMF's set. And from what I watched, their set was just weird. I didn't get it. They had cool merch though. | 15 | | Motionless in White Creatures
Was really weird. And boring. That is all. | 16 | | For Today Breaker
Actually this wasn't bad at all. I just forgot to mention them earlier. Solid set, they were the first mainstage act of the day. Was good. | |

07.10.12 | 16/16 yay | tarkus
07.10.12 | 2/16 that dont suck complete ass yay | ILJ
07.10.12 | Matty Montgomery is a freakin' beast live.
I'm pretty pumped to see ETID. | Recspecs
07.10.12 | Sounds like you had a fun time did you bang any girls in the portapottys? | ChuckyTruant
07.10.12 | haha no I did not Luke. there wasn't any time.
nah Tarkus
and yes ILJ | johnnyblaze
07.10.12 | sucks streetlight didnt have much of a crowd. such a great live band. shame. | YoYoMancuso
07.10.12 | saw rise against live back in '08 they put on a killer show, glad to see they've still got it | Storm In A Teacup
07.10.12 | SOOO jelly right now. | JackSparrow
07.10.12 | You're lucky Rise Against were playing at your show, they won't be at the one I'm going to. Glad to hear 3 was good, I'm hoping to catch them | FromDaHood
07.10.12 | I see we had different Rise Against experiences. Glad you had a good one. | Shiduba
07.10.12 | Sounds like you had an awesome time, I'd kill to see MMF and OM&M (and also 1-5) live but they have
never been over here. Hopefully someday. | KSK1
07.10.12 | Yeah Rise Against won't be at the one I go to. They're only playing like 4 dates total so you're lucky but you should've seen Yellowcard. | FromDaHood
07.10.12 | Agreed, Yellowcard were sweet | wacknizzle
07.10.12 | Warped Tour and sunburn always go hand in hand even it is cloudy now lol.
If I decide to go this year I'm going for 1, 4, 6, 7, 10, and 11. Sux that there's hardly any good bands at Warped anymore. | wacknizzle
07.10.12 | and yeah it sounds like you had a blast so it's making me want to go even tho there's only a few bands I'm willing to see. I'm dying to see ETID, OM&M, and ATB. | Recspecs
07.10.12 | "haha no I did not Luke. there wasn't any time."
What the fuck bro you gotta make time for pussy. | KSK1
07.10.12 | Yeah a porta potty fuck shouldn't last longer than a few minutes anyway. Just long enough to nut so you don't realize you just had sex in a 3x3 room full of 2,000 other peoples urine and feces and bacteria until after it's been done. You probably don't wanna think about that while it's happening. | wacknizzle
07.10.12 | But what if your nailing her real hard from behind and her legs give out and she falls over knocking the whole porta john over, omg that'd be fucking terrible. | ChuckyTruant
07.10.12 | lol. I did catch a couple Yellowcard songs, I just forgot to mention. Oh and I saw Four Year Strong in the very beginning of the day and they didn't impress me. Also, I wish I had gotten to see, Born of Osiris, Make Do and Mend, The Ghost Inside(they were the very first act to play and I wasn't there in time), Transit and We the Kings | KSK1
07.10.12 | Wack that would fucking suck. I don't really know what else to say about that but you could tell people you fucked a girl so hard that you both ended up covered in shit and make people use their imagination. | KSK1
07.10.12 | TGI woulda been a cool set to catch Chuck and yeah I hate FYS. | wacknizzle
07.10.12 | You probably still love warped andcas since theres still alot of pop-punk bands that play there. | Trebor.
07.10.12 | it's burning and it's burning, it's burning,
a fire inside that i just don't believe
some call it anger, some say frustration
but i think i call this big greed
this time the circus has left without us
and we could run away
the fringe is the center now,
hey boys that's great
when i woke up in hawthorne,
i took ocean down to the fairground to see everyone
so beautiful that i drown in the waves of the haircuts
spin kicks and jumps
well i got my bottled water and my nachos,
it came in under twenty bucks
i got this bad taste in the back of my mouth
from my time on the back of a bus
this summer vacation, it's cheap and it's true
it's ideals are intact, it's the best we can do
this time you turn into your own enemy
not sell outs but dictated economies
(whoo!)
these thieves, these thieves in their flip-flops and bro attitudes
are the very reason we do what we do
when i say fuck the man, it's what i believe
no matter who that man happens to be.
no matter who that man happens to be.
this kevin or that one, it all seems the same
exploit the avenues, fix all the gains
maybe they'll buy everything that you sell
but i'm outside these fences,
rolling fast down that hill...
fuck your warped tour yeah!
mother fucker!
| MMX
07.10.12 | I keep seeing all these lists and you all say ETID killed it, but all their performances sound kind of lame compared to the vegas one | FearThyEvil
07.10.12 | ETID is really the only band that interests me here. I have yet to see them live which sucks because I love them. | MMX
07.10.12 | You gotta see them man. At the Vegas date we crowd Surfed Them a BBQ sandwich, jumped on stage to have a bite. Knocked over a merch tent (Accidentally of course), had 30+ people on stage singing and moshing behind Keith and stayed up there for 4 songs or so. Oh me some other guys kept trying to throw me in the air so I could grab the top of stage.
Oh and they played a ton of stuff from Hot Damn!, 2 or 3 songs from Ex Live & We'rewolf | ILJ
07.10.12 | "Oh and they played a ton of stuff from Hot Damn!, 2 or 3 songs from Ex Live & We'rewolf"
Did they play Underwater Bimbos? And Wanderlust? Revival Mode? If they play those three, I'll be immensely satisfied. | ILJ
07.10.12 | I'm going to eventually, but I'm already going to warped so I might as well get a taste. | MMX
07.10.12 | They only Bimbos from the list you mentioned, but they have a different set everyday | ILJ
07.10.12 | That's even better then. I like it when bands change up set lists like that. Keeps it fresh. | steadyriot
07.10.12 | I went to see Streetlight and they were worth it.
I fight dragons were awesome, you shouldve seen them instead of some shitty metalcore band. Also the Chicharones on the hip hop "stage" were pretty sick.
I wanted to see Rise Against but they werent at my date and had to miss Polar Bear Club cause they were at the exact same time as Streetlight.
Peirce the veil and Yellow card were the only two bands I walked out on. | FromDaHood
07.10.12 | You didn't miss anything by skipping We the Kings | YankeeDudel
07.11.12 | SOUNDS LIKE A BLAST CHUCK | Azazzel
07.11.12 | If you thought Streetlight was okay you HAVE to see them when they come back in a few months and play a local venue. It's 1000x more fun with a packed club of fans. | TheDjehuty
07.11.12 | Aside from Mayday Parade, Rise Against and PBC - Your warped experience was miserable. | Apollo
07.11.12 | Warped Tour is fucking shit now, has been for at least 6 years. The last decent Warped Tour was when KSE was headlining and even then there was only like 5 or 6 decent bands playing | JAXETA
07.25.12 | chelsea grin was surprisingly awesome |
