07.01.12 | Who is Anthony Davis? None of those bands are overrated. |
TylerOnFire
07.01.12 | He will play great defense, dont get me wrong. But he just does not have the size or strength to hang with any Power Forwards or Centers in the NBA. He will rack up the rebounds and blocks, but offensively he wont do jack. I would much rather take my chances with Andre Drummond or Fab Melo who have the size to compete at the next level. Davis will be like Josh Smith at his best. With that being said, great year at Kentucky and good luck to him. If he gets the size he needs to compete, he will be a great player. Let's see that happen first. |
TylerOnFire
07.01.12 | If you don't watch basketball you won't know who he is. |
AngelofDeath
07.01.12 | It's mostly just that this is a shitty draft year for the NBA, so he's really the only talking point. |
TylerOnFire
07.01.12 | Yeah. I think MKG and Beal will have better NBA carriers than Davis just because theyhave the size for their position that Davis does not. Who knows, if he gets big enough and does well then I will accept the fact that I was wrong. |

07.01.12 | That is true, but I would never put Dwight Howard and Anthony Davis in the same sentence. |

YUJOS

Seems there are going to do anything to keep Deron Williams and try also to allure D.Howard to come in the team if not this year then next year in which he'll be a free agent. |
TylerOnFire
07.02.12 | They will need to rework some contracts then because getting Johnson will put them way over their salary cap. But Williams, Johnson, and Dwight would be a nasty trio. |

Azazzel
07.02.12 | I wouldn't say I'm a fan but the Heat looked dominant out there. +Ray Allen. What's your counter argument? |
TylerOnFire
07.02.12 | Allen has not been signed by either the Heat or Celtics yet. My counter argument would be that the Thunder are going to be back. A healthy Perkins will help them. They drafted Perry Jones III who will be a solid bench player. If they could sign a true point guard they could move Westbrook to SG, which is his true position, that would help greatly. The Heat got the Thunder when the Thunder were not playing their best. The Heat won the championship, the Thunder lost. I'm not saying the Thunder would have won the thing playing their best, but it would have made the Finals a hell of a lot more even that is for sure. |
FrankRedHot
07.02.12 | What's your basis that Perry Jones will be anything? Everyone is saying that his stock continues to fall, even after he was drafted.
And how were the Thunder not playing their best? That's the dumbest statement ever. They were easily the best team in the West, and just pulled off 4 straight against the Spurs, who were supposed to stomp everyone.
The problem with anything you've said is that the Heat played as a team, and as a team, with everyone playing their role, they're DANGEROUS. Plus, if Chalmers can continue to play how he did in the Finals, good luck to the NBA.
Allen going to the Heat would seal it. He would back up Wade, and spread the floor even more.
Oh, and ya, don't forget that Wade was playing hurt the whole entire series. |
TylerOnFire
07.02.12 | I would agree that Allen going to the Heat would seal it. If he signs. It will be interesting to see what the Nets do this offseason as well, but I dont expect them to do much. But if they can sign Williams, Johnson, Kidd, and Howard that will be a pretty nasty group as well, assuming any of those trades/signings happen. A lot of unanswered questions but we will see. |
FrankRedHot
07.02.12 | Lol Kidd? Yeah, take the 1,000 year old point guard. |
FrankRedHot
07.02.12 | They don't have the cap room for Johnson, Howard, and Wallace. |
TylerOnFire
07.02.12 | Wallace signed with the Nets tonight so....
PG - Daron Williams PG - Mario Chalmers
SG - Joe Johnson SG - DeWayne Wade (Ray Allen on bench)
SF - Gerald Wallace SF - LeBron James
PF - Chris Humphries PF - Chris Bosh
C - Dwight Howard C - Pittman/Turiaf
If everything happens that needs to |
TylerOnFire
07.02.12 | I know they dont have the cap room, that's why I said maybe. Johnson will most likely not sign because of his $119 mil contract. Kidd can still play a little. 11.5 ppg, 6 boards a game, 6 assists a game last year. |
FrankRedHot
07.02.12 | Yeah, but what happened with him in the playoffs? He disappeared, because he's 1,000 years old.
Plus, I bet D-Will goes to Dallas, his hometown. |
TylerOnFire
07.02.12 | I can see that. It's either there or Brooklyn. Dwight wants to go to the Nets. If it does not happen this year it will next; he has 1 year left on his contract with the Magic. Williams in Dallas would be pretty sweet. |
FrankRedHot
07.02.12 | I bet you the Magic don't trade him where he wants to go. They're going to screw him anyway. |

07.02.12 | Heat will ReHEAT |
TylerOnFire
07.02.12 | It may not be good for him in the long run that he grew so quickly. It's not normal to grow from 6'2 to 6'10 so quickly and it could take a while for other parts of his body to catch up. Like his hands for instance. |

I disagree. The Hawks are a good team that have just made stupid decisions in the past (Marvin Williams over Chris Paul seriously???) and have some players with attitude problems.
The Falcons are decent but I'm not that big into American football to give analysis.
The Braves are solid but have had a rough injury stretch this season.

07.02.12 | He retired. Then decided to have the surgery. And I guess the Braves are willing to take a chance on him. Delgado and Minor suck so this would help if it works out. And Frank, most pitcher come back from the surgery and pitch better than before. And Chipper just got divorced a couple weeks ago, according to sources. |
TylerOnFire
07.02.12 | Someday is the key word, Satellite. |
FrankRedHot
07.02.12 | Oh yeah, AJ Burnett and Rick Ankiel have been great on the mound since their surgery. Eric Gagne, one of the best closers ever, was FANTASTIC after his. I think he was something like 10 of 30 in save opportunities after his. That's just amazing.
Dude, you haven't a clue as to what you're saying. |
TylerOnFire
07.02.12 | That's why I said MOST pitchers. |

FrankRedHot
07.02.12 | He does that with every new team he goes to. he does well his first year and then he disappears. |
FrankRedHot
07.02.12 | I mean, I see some pitchers who have had a lot of success 3 or 4 years AFTER the surgery, but not immediately, and Ben Sheets isn't a young guy anymore. |
TylerOnFire
07.02.12 | Stephen Strasburg, Kerry Wood, John Smoltz, Billy Wagner, David Wells, Tim Hudson, Mariano Rivera, Francisco Liriano, Chris Carpenter, TOMMY JOHN. |
FrankRedHot
07.02.12 | Lol Kerry Wood? Kerry Wood SUCKED after the surgery. Tim Hudson has never been the same. Francisco Liriano is terrible. It took Chris Carper 4 years before he was even close to being effective. LOL DAVID WELLS. And just wait for Stephen Strasburg to permanently damage his arm, because his motion is FUCKED UP(and that's why he tore it in the first place).
I'll give you Billy Wagner, Smoltz, and Rivera, who had it really early in his career, and could only throw one pitch effectively(it was that nasty cutter, though), but Sheets hasn't been good in 5 or 6 years, is 34 years old, and just had the surgery. Good luck with that. |
FrankRedHot
07.02.12 | it's like an ACL reconstruction. There are 10 or 11 great players who have blown out their ACL and have come back just as good or even better, but there are about 2,000 of them who were never the same or didn't even make an effort to comeback. |
TylerOnFire
07.02.12 | Hudson is great, not sure what you are talking about there. And Wells had his surgery while he was in the minors. He went 239-157 with a 4.13 era and 2,201 k's. Not to mention 3 time all star, MVP, and he pitched a perfect game. |
FrankRedHot
07.02.12 | He also only threw tops of about 86 MPH. He was a rubber arm who could work the corners. Sheets is a flamethrower, and that doesn't end well.
And as I said with Rivera, having the surgery early in your career when you haven't played 10+ years in the majors helps. |

07.03.12 | It feels like it makes no difference. |
TylerOnFire
07.03.12 | The Hawks are pursuing both Howard and Paul now.
PG - Paul
SG - Harris
SF - ?
PF - Smith
C Howard
that would be sick. |
FrankRedHot
07.03.12 | Yeah, they don't have the money. Jesus christ.... Unless Paul and Howard both take major pay cuts.
I'm not talking Lebron/Wade/Bosh pay cuts, I'm talking about humongous, lifestyle changing pay cuts. |
TylerOnFire
07.03.12 | I know they dont. It's not gunna happen, but I would be fine with either Paul or Howard. That would help the Hawks a lot. I want Howard more though. |
FrankRedHot
07.03.12 | Yeah, Howard going to the Hawks to the same type of situation he had in Orlando makes TONS of sense.
Harris is a SCORER, not a PG that can dish dimes all night. |
FrankRedHot
07.03.12 | Plus, Harris hasn't ever been healthy a full season except one(80 games). He's played a total of 90 games the last 2 years. That's not a good pick up at all. |
TylerOnFire
07.03.12 | We have Teague. Harris would play Shooting Guard. And if the Hawks got Paul he only has two years left on his contract so the Hawks would only have to pay him $15 mil over the next two years. And Howard only has one year left on his. Best case senario we would get Howard as a free agent after next year and he could re-work a new contract with the Hawks then. Then when Paul's deal is up he could re-work his contract that gets him the most amount of money while also getting Howard the most amount of money that he would want. Being from Atlanta and being best friends with Morrow and Smith that is enough to get him here. Having Paul would be an even bigger incentive for him to sign and take less money. It's possible. |
FrankRedHot
07.03.12 | That's A LOT LESS money, though. It won't happen. They won't be able to afford both at all. If they do, something's fishy. |
TylerOnFire
07.03.12 | Maybe they get Smith to take less money too. Idk. |
FrankRedHot
07.03.12 | Even then, it still wouldn't work. I understand having hope and all of that, but it's not like the Heat who's roster was depleted when they signed the Big 3(the Heatles). The Hawks have pretty much a full roster, with 2 sizable contracts still there(Smith, Horford). IT WON'T WORK. |
