The 5 Albums That Killed Music

I am right. Shut up
1The Beatles
Revolver

There are several other Beatles albums I could have put here. Basically, this
revolutionized popular music and inspired a whole wave of creativity, effectively
bringing modern music to life. Living is a problem for music because it means that it
has to die
2Metallica
Metallica

With this album, Metallica showed the world that selling out can kinda work
sometimes. This inspired countless bands to change their sound to something
mainstream, accessible and - most often - crap when they faced a creative lapse
3Korn
Korn

This created a brand new sound. And it was shit. And it was copied loads by lots of
bands. And they were even more shit.
4Tool
Lateralus

I could put almost any Tool album here. Basically, Tool took elitism so far that the
music world faced a new crisis - musical extremists. These purists are so convinced
that their views are right that tearing any 'inferior' album apart became second nature
for them, which would be alright if the albums that they praised weren't equally awful
5Between the Buried and Me
Colors

This struck the final blow to music for several reasons:
1 - It resulted in an apocalyptically huge albums between elitists, proving that there
is no right answer to music and that elitism is dead
2 - It was ignored by the mainstream. The fact that something so musically
significant (coz it killed music) escaped mainstream attention means that mainstream
music is dead, and that elitism is even more dead because the elitists failed to gain
it mainstream attention
3 - It is 100% amazing and 100% shit at the same time, sound-wise. The fact that
an album that contradicts itself in terms of quality as much as this does exists
proves that all hope is gone
