Bands People Should Know
1Sika Redem
Entheogen

This album is an incredible screamo album that for some reason went entirely unnoticed. This bands range of sounds is vast, ranging from delicate post-rock to blistering metal riffs. The screaming and singing are awesome FFO: Saetia, Circle Takes The Square, Converge, Pg. 99. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HbhlmXu1gXA
2Orgone [PA]
The Joyless Parson

One of the best deathmetal bands I've ever heard, this album is a progressive metal masterpiece. The high screams on this have a black metal feel. There is a very prominent classical influence in Orgones music, but is always done very tastefully. Seriously, if you like deathmetal check this out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4evUiv8QkO8
3Orgone [PA]
The Goliath

Orgone's first album is more accesible and has a few hints of metalcore to it but trust me it is a masterpiece. Lessons of Mesopotamia http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OEP9iLWLYLY Vomited Hyacinths http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CmizkRpJdJo
4Harlots
Betrayer

Very unknown Technical Metalcore/Mathcore/Post-Metalcore band from Dayton, Oh. Betrayer is an incredible album. If you are a fan of Amia Venera Landscape it should be right up your alley. Full Body Contortion http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-J8za5bJ4zs Dried Up Goliathan http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fPjvnFgJUp4
5Harlots
This Is the Second Death

The production on this album gives off a Pig Destroyer vibe, not as clean and polished as Betrayer but the songs on this album are incredible. These Are The Paths That We Choose http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2wJDhabeSc0
6Dead Meadow
Feathers

This band sounds like they came right out 70's Stoner-rock scene. Been listening to this album for years and it still doesn't get old. If you dig psych-rock this is a must have. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G2SnG7iE4c4
7Dead Meadow
Dead Meadow

Dead Meadow's debut album and IMO their 2nd best release thus far. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z-SB-kJ-Hx0
8Pinback
Summer in Abaddon

You need a summer jamz, look no further. Don't know why this band isn't that well known. I recommend this album to everyone, had to pin down what genre they are, I'll say their sexy dance party indie pop. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fpMQlbhsmEY
