I worked for national grocers basically assembling pallets of groceries for Loblaws (Canadian store). Solid work, physical, but good paying. I saved up for a trip to Europe in 3 months of working there part-time.

wacknizzle 06.12.12	Washing dishes sucks for the most part but you'll likely make 9 or 10 bucks an hour, that's what I did for my first job, it was actually pretty fun for a while since some of the people who worked at the restraunt were real cool. Do anything to avoid working at Mcdonalds, don't support that shitty conglomerate of childhood obesity and diabetes.

omnipanzer 06.12.12	I think the hate for McDonalds is that they actively and aggressively keep their employees oppressed and in need. In doing so they keep their food so cheep that it's hard to not consider them an easier alternative to cooking your own food. It's not that people could choose not to eat there it's that they make it so easy to say yes. Then there is their domineering control over various parts of the food industry like Corn, Beef, Chicken and potatoes. A word from them would cut out a lot of the the really bad industry standards that were enacted in part to meet their demand. EDIT: but when you are broke none of that really matters.

wacknizzle 06.12.12	That's one good reason but big companies like that only make it harder for the common man to get by, they make billions each year yet they pay their employees shit. Just one of the many big industries that set the low standards of pay that make it harder for mom and pop businesses to get by, it just makes it harder for everyone else when these big companies make tons of money and get away with awful things overall making the economy worse. The problem's with the banks and how they fucked our economy is definately the biggest problem but it's not the only.

EyesWideShut 06.12.12	fuck fast food and look for warehouse work or something blue collar. i worked in a printing warehouse for almost 3 years and had some great times and the people were cool too. u can try one of those mom n pop stores or publix if ya want.

My mom has been pestering the fuck out of me to get one, and I mean I've applied, but I haven't followed up. I get my drivers license in August, and really, I'm not going to be able to drive because I stupidly didn't get that job this summer, so now I have hardly any money for it. Oh well, at least I get paid 30 bucks to mow a lawn every week....right?
Acanthus 06.12.12	The only place I normally find work is with food, and I really don't like working with food. That being said if you hit up the fancier places in your town you might be surprised at the positions that are opened; table busers are relatively short lived jobs, and dishwasher's are always needed.
