This needs a review. The only really good hatebreed album in my opinion.

while this album might not be as breathtaking as some of the stuff that is being done now in the genre, for the time '97, this was some of the heaviest and catchiest hardcore ever recorded, this band and this album helped pave the way for most of the hardcore and metal that your hearing today

I'm a hardcore fan, and have been to a lot of HXC shows over the last 13-14 years, this is a
stylistic classic in the genre, and paved the way for so many bands to come. It's also got
some very catchy riffs, you can hear so much of many bands today in this. That said, it's
definitely the case that they've been outdone by what followed, still it's a great record.

Decent 3.5 - Hatebreed proves that they can write good music. ,,Satisfaction Is the Death of Desire'' is very solid hardcore album filled with great production, mixing and very solid instrumentation, every member of the band does what needs to be done, plus the drumming is extremely well mixed so be ready for really enjoyable drumming session. But this album offcourse have some negative qualities: Hatebreed is very solid hardcore band with metalcore qualities, but they sound way too close to their main influences, mainly Earth Crisis is extremely visible in vocals and instrumentation. Another problem is the one dimensionality of the album, everything sounds way too similiar, so there are no highlights... But overall IF youre looking for very accesible and not extremely heavy or chaotic early metalcore, jump into this.

This album most definitely needs a good review. 'Satisfaction Is the Death of Desire' is without a doubt Hatebreed's most intricate yet rough album to date. Everything released later has in some way slowly become overrated.
