I am having trouble with playing my guitar!?

Hello there, i have been playing guitar properly now for 2 years (1 year learning and picking up and off etc - on top of the two years) and i have recently become to "stutter" when it comes to fast hammer ons, which is strange as a month ago, i was doing this fine. it has become extremely annoying, especially when its in a song you JUST made for gcse, now i cant play it properly all the way through, it involves the riff of

d|-----------5--7b8 b8 b8 b8r7---5--
a| 5h6h7--------------------------------7

now, it goes like i want to play the hammer ons, and i will go to play the hammer ons, and i will pluck the string, BUT MY FINGERS JUST WONT ******* MOVE! I STUTTER! CONSTANTLY! I PLUCK THE STRING OVER AND OVER AGAIN AND I STILL CANT MOVE MY FINGERS! (sorry, im tired, i don't feel so good, meh, got angry.)

The only way i can play i the way i could used to, is if i go over it slowly, then i can play it. But that is no good for playing live is it!? Its stupid, and after two years, I hate being down graded over something which i don't know what is happening!

Its not that im tired, its been happening for the last month or so, its annoying me INCREDIBLEY! please help

thank you

either take a short break and come back to it in a week, or slow it down. once you nail it slow 20 times in a row, up the tempo till you get it up to speed.

If you could do it well before then it shouldn't take too long to get it back.

The best option if you want to learn guitar as fast and easy as possible is to look into getting an online guitar course such as Jamorama or JamPlay. These courses are waaaay cheaper than private lessons but they are really incredible tools. They have instructors who teach you step-by-step how to play guitar. There's a really good website that reviews the BEST online guitar courses. Here are some reviews of my favorite courses:

http://www.guitardisciple.com/jamplay-re…
http://www.guitardisciple.com/jamorama-r…

Hope this helps Good luck!

Sounds like you've got a mental block going. Id suggest setting up a mirror and watch yourself play through these things. That will take your mind to a different place and allow your muscle memory to kick in. Watch your motions and analyze them and you'll be able to get over the hump.

Progress in almost any area can often feel like two steps forward, one step back. It's annoying, but you can get through it. Go ahead and slow it down if you need to, if you've done it before, then it shouldn't take you too long to relearn it.
