How to write a review?

I've been using this site for quite some time to read reviews of albums, to find new, good albums, etc. and I've had an account for a bit; so I finally decided to become active. I feel rather foolish for asking this; but how do you submit a full review? Do you just justify your rating in that small box when asked? Thank you for taking the time to deal with my being new here, I would just like to get a chance to justify why a few of my favorite albums are my favorite albums.

The small box that you're referring to is the soundoff box. Basically that's where you can put your thoughts on the album into like a little blurb and it will show up with all the other ratings. To submit a full review, though, there might be other ways, but the easiest way is to just go to the page of the band for whom you want to submit a review and in the box directly underneath the band's picture is a link that says "Add a Review". Click that, choose the album from the dropdown (or submit it yourself in the "Other" bar) and from there you can enter the rating that will show up on the review, the review text itself, the mini-summary that shows up at the top, and related albums that you'd like to accompany your review.

I hope I understood your question correctly; it's late and I only read through your question once so I might have misinterpreted you, but hopefully that helps.

Protip: write your review in a text editor of your choice and save it on your hard drive as a backup. That way, when something goes wrong during the submitting process (which tends to happen from time to time), you won't have lost your work.
