What artist(s) have gotten you through some of the hardest situations in your life?
For me, it was Shinedown, Lacuna Coil, Scar Symmetry, aaaaaand...I know there's one more...oh, Insomnium! Don't know how I forgot them. They're one of my favorite bands.
Anyway, how about you guys? |

Paysage D'Hiver, the ambient Burzum tracks from Hvis and Filosofem, a good set of headphones and weed.

Explosions in the sky chilled me out when i was tripping on a half ounce of perfectly legal oyster mushrooms once.
Is this what we are looking for? |

Around the Fur by the Deftones circa 2005-2006. I was a depressed adolescent male student in middle school. Enough said.

I listened to a LOT of Bullet For My Valentine when my dad died, that was my lowest ebb. Seriously a lot. Mainly The Poison. I tend to avoid that album now cos the attachment to it but I do hold it in incredibly high esteem because of that now.
Nowadays it's mostly Devy. |

Scar Symmetry is a great band no doubt, but they haven't really "helped me through tough times". I would say Moonsorrow.
Also Replica by Sonata Arctica and Deep Affection by Galneryus. Great songs. |

Korn got me through a lot of stuff! I've stopped listening to them now though, just grown distant from their music
