Animated gifs.
Hi. I was about to put up an animated gif, but every time I try to, a window saying "Remote file is too large" pops up. I have the gif down to 50x37, but still no luck. Are common users not allowed to have animated gifs, are the animated gifs for the higher ups on Sputnik? Thanx in advance.

All users can use gifs, but they're subject to the same dimensions and file size limits as their regular jpg pictures.

I'm aware that all users can upload straightforward gifs, but are animated gifs a different story? It seems that all of my attempts of uploading an animated gifs have failed. Is there any reason for this? Any specific dimension the animated gif has to be in order to work in motion?

Max size is 100x100 and, I think, 20kb. If you could upload it to tinypic or something similar we can make it your avatar.

Having the same issue; is it possible to compress a gif file to reasonably fit the 20kb limit? The file I'm trying to use has been resized and reduced, but still seems too large.
