My Satellite
So I came across this band, My Satellite a few weeks ago being played on KROQ locals only. I was wondering if anyone else had heard them before. They are sort of indie/electro. I was impressed with the use of a ukelele in one of their songs. Pretty emotional and smart lyrics without being overbearing. The singer has a great tone that is complimented by the harmonies of the backing band. They are a 5 piece consisting of drums and some sort of drum pad, two guitarists, bass and midi, and keyboard.
They are from Los Angeles so unfortunately I wont be able to see them anytime soon unless they magically play Toronto sometime soon but they released (or are in the process of releasing) a bunch of live studio videos ... I liked this one the best.
