I cannot upload a custom avatar. There is no upload form on my control panel.

Are you seeing the standard site avatars you can choose from? There may be a block on new users from uploading until theyve been a member for a certain time or made a certain amount of posts.

Yes, I can see the pre-defined avatars. The "Do not use an avatar" option is checked and cannot be unchecked unless I choose one of the standard ones.

Try choosing one for the time being and then refresh and see if it pops up.

I see it. Seems that during all the changes in how to register all new users are put in a group without custom avatars available. I cant switch users (atleast its not sticking when I try) to a different group but an admin can. MX saw the issue though and Im sure he'll fix it soon enough.
