Objectivity?

How does the objectivity ratings system on this site work? My rating is 47%, however, I think that it should be 100%.

I don't even think Gandhi could ever have hit that percentage

Unfortunately, no. My guess is a complicated rope-and-pulley system run my Pembroke Welsh corgis.

fairly certain it has to do with how closely your ratings spread matches the standard normal distribution

as in just having a mean rating of 3.0 isn't enough, the weighted average of each rating left of three must equal the weighted average of those to the right, with a standard deviation most likely equal to 1.

just speculation though

Is it just me who thinks it would be fun to see if that was actually the case?

Oh okay, my objectivity rating is now a more accurate 91%. Strange system, it is.

Honestly, I wouldn't pay much attention to it. If you're just rating, people are gonna either praise or denigrate your ratings, and if you're writing, the quality of your writing will say much more than an objectivity score.

Just keep rating albums lower/not as high as 4.5-5 to increase your objectivity

Yeah I rated some albums I didn't like and now it's 100%, I don't know what the deal with that is

You still haven't got the perfect rating variance though, so you still loose.
