My friend makes like $250-300 a night waiting tables Monday through Friday at this semi-nice joint.

I love it when you get a waiter/waitress who comes around and ask you how you're doing every 2 minutes until you actually need something. Then they're strangely missing. That just tells me they are lazy. Glass is half full, they'll ask if I need a refill. Glass empty, sitting on the edge of the table, in plain sight. They avoid the table like it is an infectious disease.

bullshit

it's a fucking two-way street and it should be treated as such. you complain loudly? you ruin other customers' experiences and are not welcome. so you can fuck right off, thank you.

Herbert Bayer (April 5, 1900 – September 30, 1985) was an Austrian American graphic designer, painter, photographer, sculptor, art director, environmental & interior designer, and architect, who was widely recognized as the last living member of the Bauhaus and was instrumental in the development of the Atlantic Richfield Company's corporate art collection until his death in 1985.

couple of weeks after that i went to an indian lunch buffée, it was really good and really strong, i ate so much and i had only slept for three hours during both of the two preceding nights so i got a massive - i mean MASSIVE - case of the postprandial somnolence, a.k.a. 'the itis' - i was practically knocked out during the afternoon, and i didn't have to eat again until late in the evening

Yeah its always a pain when some table nearby is bitching. If the service sucks just leave a sucky tip and don't come back again.
