It does work, but you need to wait for a mod to approve it. It won't show up instantaneously

I know, but I think this is an exceptional problem because I've tried editing it several times since yesterday with the correct details but everytime I do so it just sends me back to the album page. The cover comes up as a white square with a cross in the corner (suggesting there's an error with the image) and the release date is set as 1/1/11, which isn't right either. I'd make a duplicate album page with all the correct details so I can post this review but I don't want to get banned or anything.

http://www.sputnikmusic.com/bands/Abe-Vigoda/8364/
URL of the problem. If you click on 'edit albums' you'll also see the false release date and lack of tracklisting which can't be changed.

This isn't that big of a deal, but the box for my favorite artists is all of a sudden blank and doesn't allow me to add any bands to it. I checked to make sure I had the box turned on in my user preferences, and I did. Any idea on how to fix this?

HORSE the band search bug

Just a quick heads up to the moderators, when I search for HORSE the band, the following appears: "1016/" was not found in our database.

It used to work in the past, dunno what happened.

Cheers

Hey guys,

I have a question. Why mine music taste diagram constantly changes. For example 2 hours ago I had this : Progressive 27%, Metal 27%, Pop 7%, Hard Rock 7%, Alt Rock 13%, Rock 19%. Now it states :Progressive 27%, Metal 27%, Hard Rock 7%, Post Punk 7%, Alt Rock 13%, Rock 19%.

Can someone explain why it's changing?? and what's the point to have this diagrams if they change constantly???

Noes. I got 101 albums rated as now. I didn't rate new albums at all. That's why I think it's bugged.

Seems like it is identical except for Post Punk switching with Pop. Band genres get changed in the database, which could be the issue.

Hello gentlemen,

This morning I tried to add a new band to the database (European timezone, so it's been a few hours from now). The band is called Ancients. They haven't released any album yet, just one song. So i wrote a news article for it.

The band is in the database along with the article, but unfortunately the latter does not appear in the "music news" box on the homepage. Can you fix this so people know about this very promising band?
Apparently, i am also not allowed to change the "genres" section of the band. Among those that already exist, i would choose "post-rock" and "metalcore". If one can fix this too...

Thanks in advance!

The names of all the Contribs appear next to their reviews...except SowingSeason. Is there a reason for this? Do you guys not like him? (LOL)

why does this site experience so much down time? is the server hosting this thing cheap as shit? is maintenance being done on a frequent and lengthy basis? it's ridiculous that you have to wait 2-3 mins for a page to load when all you want to do is look up a review or enter band info

a dumb and fittingly cliched comment. demanding reliability from a site that receives decent traffic is not ridiculous at all

so people using add-ons like Adblock Plus are actually curtailing revenue received from ads? this is news to me, but then i don't know how the ad process on a site works
