You're such a Dummy Coil Pickup

Now that I've completely tarnished my look with a horrible joke,

I'm trying to find some material on dummy pickups. I'd like to do some reading before I start messing around with the idea of installing one on my Strat. Damn Texas Pickups have noise way too loud when I turn her up.

It would be great if you can share with us what sites or books you may think would help my search.
