Wait. Stop for a second, let me clarify. Eminem's first 3 albums were brilliant, featuring incredible songs and narritvies driven along by a passion and motivation hardly seen before in hip-hop. His singles career peaked in 2002 with Lose Yourself, a massive worldwide hit that features Em's best opening verse ever, and one of the greatest rhyme schemes ever featured in rap.
But then, he hits a huge decline, Just Lose It is unbelivably annoying and even though it was a sizable hit during its time, I never hear it anymore, and I'm glad. Encore was an awful album and his follow-up, Relapse, was worse. Seriously, Relapse is a horrible album, filled with accents, murder themes, half baked ideas and some of his worst singles to date (Crack a Bottle, We Made You, 3 A.M.). And for some reason, he still is fawned over like a god, constantly being referred to as "real rap" and the "best rapper alive". I cant figure out why, he hasn't made anything worst listening to in years, he is long past his prime, and his last great album came out in 2002. So, I guess my question is, does anyone else think Eminem is as washed up as I do? |

Eminem has technicality on his side nowadays, but that's it, it's completely soulless music. Only his first two albums really work, but only Encore and The Re-Up really suck.

I digress, his ability to enunciate worlds rapidly, and his flow is very well honed, but when people go insane over his damn verse on Forever (lame song anyway) it feels undeserved.

Kanye's verse was the best of that, his flow on that song is good, but not worth the insanity of people lol.

When was the last time Rakim put out something good? Yet he is still recognized by most other rappers as the best ever. |

Em's been going through the motions for a while now. What's his motivation? He's one of the most accomplished artists, he's got plenty of money and he knows that whatever he releases is gonna sell regardless

i kidd i kidd its basically already been addressed, but EM sucks now because his greatest albums were steeped in Sadness, Hopelessness, depression, White trash-dom, and poverty. he is now rich beyond his wildest dreams has no real reason to feel sad or depressed, since he has accomplished so much. He isnt white trash anyumore living in a trailer, and he certainly isnt hopeless cause a bag of **** with his name on it will sell millions. classic mega successful, uninspired artist. |

Correction: his last three albums are terrible.
The slim shady lp basically appealed to the widest audience that exists in america, poor white people. I listen to it probably once a week driving. its hilarious, depressing, and skillful. MM LP was his master work, no need to talk about why. the rest suck. D12 had some zingers too |
