haven't gone through the whole thread yet so sorry if it's been posted, but this will tell you everything you need to know:


best melee weapon is a blackened machete. unlikely to get stuck in a zombie when smashing its brains, blackened to prevent light reflection. lightweight and reliable.

for armor, a shark suit is best. (one of those suits that sharks can't bite through). it's skin tight which prevents any snagging, doesn't hinder movement and offers good protection.

obviously you'll want some sort of sniper rifle, smg for close range, and a rifle capable of burst fire. shotties aren't recommended due to the reload times. you want something that will conserve ammo, but is also capable of killing multiple targets in a short period of time.

also, for the record, i wouldn't team up with any of you guys based on your suggestions. josh or squirrel maybe, but you gotta think of everything. like i said, shotties are pointless becuase of reload times and the ammo taking up so much space. also they aren't good from far away due to spread.

-mp5 for relatively close quarters (grenade launcher attachment)
-m4 for long range (burst fire or automatic IF you need it + grenade launcher attachment)
-2 sidearms with high capacity mags. doesn't need to be super high powered because a brain shot will kill anything anyway
-blackened machete for reasons listed above
-designated sniper

you don't want to weigh yourself down, so you can't get too carried away with millions of knifes and guns.

i'd probably get a hovercraft too, but just so i could have a hovercraft, not becuase it's an optimal choice

anyone who would actually want to get into melee with zombies is stupid. Melee should be avoided at all costs.


I don't think anyone can definitively say what they would take because it depends on their situation when the outbreak occurs and what they have access to.

However, I would just carry a handgun such as a Ruger SR9.
