the band i was with for awhile until i quit a couple of weeks ago:
http://www.facebook.com/pages/Colder-in-Moscow/74397645034

stuff i used to bother with sometimes and, now that i quit my band, can bother with even more:

seems a bit dangerous posting facebook links on this forum

great i like it. i like pretty much all noise music i hear. i dont care if it is or isn't music i just enjoy all organized sound thres no limit to great timbres to explore and organize and butcher up. theres a tenuous connection between organized sound and ambient its hard to tell at what point something just becomes sound. i like the dark ambient far more than the happier ambient, esp cuz happier ambient just so often wreaks of new age meditation music which is so generic and uninteresting. my fav dark albums: biosphere - substrata; richard bone - the serene life of microbes. make me feel like im getting lost somewhere sublime and dangerous.

heres some noise i made by recording my fan, turning up the gain so that it blew the speakers out, then cutting out all the bass so that it just breaks at extremely fast intervals and sort of tickles your ear

i'm actually getting into new-age music lately (jami seiber specifically)

a lot of the people i know convince themselves that they dislike it because it doesn't seem culturally subversive enough or something

but jami seiber's stuff is honestly some of the most breathtakingly beautiful i've ever heard

dont call it music then. just call it sounds that somebody recorded. then what? youre free of the obligations to live up to being music. arent there interesting, non-musical sounds in the world? or artificially created and arranged? it's entirely possible to just sit in your room and enjoy the ambient sounds coming from your windows or out your door. organized sound is just someone showing you sounds from far away. its possible to just appreciate sounds, and someone's recording and organization of those sounds and timbres won't have 0 value. it would be great if we just gave up ranking and analyzing sound recordings altogether. just let it be man. sounds cool.

have you heard loren chasse (releases under that name and under "of"), it's not really strictly noise, it's very subdued organic and incorporates alot of field recordings and strange sounds - it's what the earth would sound like if the earth could sing

Versus Humanity Was A Lossful Void

We've grown blighted!
Blight runs to the very roots of our community
Death! dying! dead! deceased!
Wind rushes, threshing through brown grasses
Parched fingers plant the seeds of hope
Prayers! praying! prayers for fruition!
The earth's cranium still grows desolate
The climax of intellectual deprivation

Critiques would be nice guise, and I know the vocals sound like ****, I recorded them with my computer's mic in audacity.
