After a week of scouring the internet for the best prices, I bought all the parts for an HTPC. By the end of the week, we shall be gloriously streaming movies and videos right to our television. Huzzah!

Anyone with electronics knowledge wanna help me out?
Trying to convert my old Behringer foot switch to work with my GK. The GK switches between boosts, and tuner mute. ![]() Am I right in thinking I need a SPST for the mute, and a SPDT for the boost switch? |

What does the Behringer ftsw currently have in it? What was it set up to do? Have you tried it on your GK?
You definitely want a SPDT for the mute so that you can direct the signal to ground instead of just cutting it. If not, you'll get a huge popping noise. I'd recommend wiring a 10M resistor across that mute switch as well. If there's an LED, you'll need a DPDT I can't really say what you'll need to do for the switching of channels, but I'm guessing another DPDT will work. http://www.mammothelectronics.com/category-s/32.htm Mammoth is the main place I go for pedal parts and especially footswitches (they even have some hard-to-find 4PDT switches for under $10! :O ) |

**** I'm ready for Spring break to start. This semester is really burning me out.
But on the plus side... I am taking a graduate class in Abstract Algebra come fall semester. Totally stoked for it. What's everyone else been up to? |

Run off my ass at work. It was crazy. We just finished a custom furniture sale yesterday. Ou store cleared $37k in 7 hours. Which was more than the rest of the stores in the province put together.
Otherwise, finally making headway on a new song after a 3 month dry spell. Should be done by the end of the week. And coming up in the home stretch of a self-enforced 2 week sobriety period. Just in time for St. Patty's. Perfect. |

The behringer was momentary, I need latching. Not too worried about LEDS, there's lights on the front of the amp for that. Just ordered two switches, should be here in 3 days.

There. Actually finished something for once. Come for the pseudo-guitar; stay for the shameless abuse of the pitch wheel. |

I was thinking I'll leave this forum at a proper 25,000 posts, but at this rate, it's going to take me another 2 years to reach that. :-/

Well, I finally pulled the trigger on the PCB for this:
http://buildyourownclone.com/dividedoctave.html It should be here sometime next week, giving me just enough time to build it and play with it before school starts back up. |
