Yes, i like music. I consider music one of our more intimates means of artistic expression. I also buy a lot of music. I tend to go to thrift stores and pawn shops and Goodwill type stores where the cds are $1 - $2 each. I buy artists I am not familiar with and listen to their albums. I listen to just about every genre and own a few thousand music CDs. I also tend to buy the entire catalog of an artist I am currently "in" to.

I pay 9.99 a month to listen to downloaded Spotify albums on my tablet/phone. I'd call that enough of a law-abiding devotion to music.

I need to buy some albums soon. I haven't bought any in a long time. I have no way to the music store and anyway I like to do my shopping at Itunes and I only have a Windows computer that won't run Itunes.

But then like a couple months later I just torrented the entirety of his discog anyway so it was like w/e

It's crazy how some music can seem so beautiful. Sometimes I feel blessed to have music in my life.

If I want to be a good person and pay for it, instead of just listening to it without paying, then yes, I need to pay for it.

That's not what I asked, is it? There's no need to get defensive anyways. I don't care how often you steal music. It won't change the way I feel about you.

Your post wasn't even rational?

Question 1: Do you listen to music?

Then you provide two answers that don't even answer the question but rather answer two different
questions.

"I want music"

Designed to answer the question 2: Do you want music?

"I have music"

Designed to answer the question 3: Do you have music?

Then Question 4: Do you buy music?

And Question 5: Do you like music?

What the fuck.

And then you come at me with,

"That's not what I asked, is it?"

I don't know, Sir. WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU TRYING TO ASK?

Waiting to get a PayPal set up. Feel so guilty downloading music since most of my favorites artists aren't super well known and upload most of their music to Bandcamp.

I'll go ahead and bump this up. Christ, I remember back in like 2008, when I was still posting here. If you even mentioned piracy, you'd get banned and stuff.

In most cultures in the Middle East they will cut off one of your limbs, sometimes your neck, if you are a thief. I think we should learn a thing or two from them. Thieves are scum.

People put their life work into music and bootlegging suckers come along and think they are entitled to it all for free... People used to beat you senseless if they ever caught you bootlegging their shit on CD, I don't see how it becomes acceptable 'cuz the internet'.

Saying 'but they can make money from concerts' is as asinine as saying Windows should be forced to allow anyone to download their software for free because Windows makes money off of mouse pads.

thieves are the reason music generally sucks today, its why artists have to sell something besides their music, they have to promote political bullshit, or some clothing brand, or some drink, because the only people investing in music anymore are propaganda artists and tricky corporations. who do you think wants to dedicate their life to something they can't even get by doing?
