I'd recommend TuneCore for dist. digitally.

We won a free entry to CD Baby, and their digital distribution stuff is actually pretty good these days. My old rock opera I did in 2009 that no one listens to (its pretty shitty, don't know what I was thinking) actually made $7 from streaming the past two years and I had no freaking clue! It was a nice surprise to wake up to this morning. Most of it was through some website I've never heard of that CD Baby partnered with, and I ended up getting something like 8/10 a cent per stream. Can't complain, free money!

Totally.

I would still recommend tunecore though because they also handle the ASCAP/BMI paperwork for you. Which is a nice thing, because otherwise that is a bit of a crap to file. I believe you can pay for that service separate as well.

Even though Buddy was the better technician (but only slightly), I always loved Louie being able to embrace more variety in his setup. Obviously his double bass rig, but his rototoms and the jingles he put on his sticks was a really nice touch. His playing seems a bit more varied too. Loved his doubles on his right hand around the toms followed by the double bass blitz....beat Portnoy by several decades

Very true!

Louie really opened the gates for a lot of stuff. Not sure why Buddy didn't ever use the double bass, his right foot was insane as it was.

Unreal playing, would be a nightmare to play on though. Man you'd be so self aware with that tight of a sound. Even the slightest mistake would jump out.

Nice! I caught 5 Vinnie licks in the first 45 seconds though! The reverse tom roll with the kick figures is pretty classic Vincent.

Must be nice, I'd say damn near 100% of the time I'm lucky if the audience here's the kick drum and backbeat.

Everything else is for my own personal enjoyment. Literally.

Not very hard!

I can also hear a bit of FX in the mic's, I think the snare has a gate on it too, it seems to be a little too "choppy" for normal. Almost like they slapped some duct tape on the bottom head. But the cut off is way too fast for that even.

Personally I love the resonance of a snare, make her sing!!

That one is easily 14x6...

Also there is a lot more going on, you can clearly see he's playing mostly toward the edge, etc, etc

Played for like 5 minutes and got bored.

Does that man trigger his bass drum? If not, then he may be the best double bass player ever.

Wow, I haven't been here in years.

What happened to all the gear threads? There are still some familiar names here which is great.

Oh yeah, first I thought of a piano duet - but it was actually only the mirror in the back. Keep it up!

Yeah a year ago I was absolute shit. Been taking some vocal lessons, still a ways to go but I've been getting better. Thanks for the kind words.

I only wish I was as good a drummer as Barriemore Barlows' son

But I will also talk to you Seafroggys, you're a pretty cool dude too. What's your AIM?
