I'm interested in it, but I'm not sure how to use one. What else would I need to buy to make it do those bass hits like they do here live (example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fw7YsZFksBQ @ 3:32) ?

There have been several people around here asking about the SPD-S lately. Someone should buy it.

Yes it can definitely be used for that. If you want string patches, hits, or anything can be put on there.

It's honestly a legit piece of equipment.

Any other questions let me know.

Oh and yes. Our band director gave us a bunch of old equipment. Including that 67' Ludwig supraphonic keystone badge.
Good stuff.

would I have to buy any software to put samples on it or can I load them directly onto the pad?
