...Diet Soft Drinks
coke zero: worth it?
if you are going to give up pop/coke/soda for good, do you think its pretty much like that by drinking the zero calories stuff? drinking one right now, and i feel on the verge of vomiting for real. also i'm thinkin of becoming either a vegetarian or a vegan... i think i will work my way to vegan-hood. so far yesterday at dinner was my first meal of starting it. i had a veggie burger, but igot cheese on it and my friend and i split a milkshake. so not vegan. today i have had cheerios in regular milk (at my parents house, i got soy milk for my fridge), a peanut butter sandwich and celery with peanut butter... is normal peanut butter vegan? i thought of doing microbiotic, but it is so time consuming... you HAVE to have, for instance, a certain tea at a certain time, and you HAVE to plan out your meals or else you pretty much starve or fail at it. Maybe the vegan thing will help me work my way to this, but after college when your schedule tends to be more typical as opposed to classes and meetings and everything at random times throughout the day. discuss weird diets people go on and weird people who go on diets. a girl in a class i had last year said her husband would only eat noodles, like pasta, but with out sauce, butter, salt, nothing at all. it was like a "health" thing with him. |

If I weren't going to drink pop, I would include crap like that. It's not worth it.
But I love Dr. Pepper and things of that sort (just mostly Dr. Pepper) so I don't see myself quitting anytime soon. |

people that are so paranoid about their health that they become vegan or go on these ridiculous diets really need to just choke and die
i'm pretty sure cavemen weren't vegan tea drinking hippies and obviously their diet worked out pretty well because look here we are today exercise and a well-balanced diet is the key to being healthy not starving yourself on greens and water so you can feel like your body isn't "polluted" |

no i want to go vegetarian because i sometimes like involuntarily throw up after eating meat because i think of the process it went through from being a breathing animal to sitting in my stomach. It's like, kill, chop, machine, package, stove, plate, mouth, stomach, where it rots because appearantly it doesn't digest well or something like you think it does? i am all for people eating meat. I understand its nature, and i do like the occasional hamburger or pepperoni on my pizza, but it makes me feel queasy enough that I don't want to. The vegan thing is an extension of that idea.
the microbiotic thing is just because I want to see what its all about. I wouldn't do it for more than a month. I know a girl who she (doing it for a school research project) and her mom (who did it because it is supposed to reduce the pollutants in your body i guess, and she was sick with cancer, now passed) did it together and said they felt really great. I don't think the girl is still doing it since its hard to do in college. It seems interesting though. asdf: I loooooove Dr. Pepper! also, why do i have to look at the keyboard after each letter to search for the next when i type your name? ![]() Last edited by Spikey; 01-31-2007 at 02:44 PM. |

Vegan is very, very dangerous for you actually, if you don't do it right.
My dad was a vegetarian for 6 months or so because his roommate was. He became really malnurished because all he could really get was yogurt. |

i wouldnt count coke zero as being good for you because there is probably still plenty of crap in it, just one of those happens not to be calories.
