I'm trying to post some tabs i wrote out in a text editor, but when i copy them in they look like this
(e)-------------------------------- -------------------------------------- --------------------------------- -----------------------------------:| (B)----1----3--3----1----3--3- ------0-----3--3------0------3--3- ----0----1--1-----0----1--1- ----0------------------------------:| (G)-----------2--------------2-------------------0-----------------0-----------------0---------------0--------------2---2-------0----2---2-:| (D)--3----0--------3----0-----------3-----------------3-------------------2--------------2------------------2-------2------------------2---:| (A)------------------------------- ----------2------------------2------- --------3--------------3------- -------0-----------3----0--------:| (E)------------------------------- -------------------------------------- -------------------------------- -----------------------------------:| i tried to change it to "arial narrow" and size 1, but it changes the arrangement an screws the tabs up. does anyone know a way to post tabs without this problem? |

When I wrote tabs using notepad or word, using a font like Courier was about the best I found. All of the characters in Courier font have the same width, so it should all line up properly. As for the strings getting broken up like they are where the second part of each string runs onto the next line, I would just make sure I started new lines sooner. I'm not sure if you use a tabbing program or something like Notepad, so some formatting issues may be different amongst them, but I hope that can help you out. I'll explain further if you need me.

The only problem is that i already wrote out these tabs which were pretty complex, maybe ill use my computers snapshot thingy and make a .png out of it. then set that as an img, this isnt very user friendly though.
can you attach a .txt file? if so where can i upload one to and attach it to my thread from? hmmmmmm, ill have to think about it..... |
